Is anyone else as nervous as I am about this game? Sure Rex is bad, but our defense has a knack for making average guys look good. The long ball is a huge concern for us and Rex and Berrian do that well. I'm just not ready to deal with our possible first loss so soon after the season has began. I think that's all it is.

I am nervous before every game, especially road games.

Playing the defending NFC champions in prime time in their backyard is no easy task. This is defiently one that was circled as a possible loss when the schdule came out, kinda like the Patriot game here in a couple of weeks.

I know we are not going to go 16-0 this year, so we are going to lose some games. Losing to the Bears is nothing to be embarrassed about if it does happen, but it would be so sweet to walk out of Soldier Field with a W.:D

We should be nervous, the Bears are a very good team, and were in the Super Bowl last year. They arent no pushover.

Yeah we were responsible for giving Eli Manning the talent to hit all of his receivers in stride and we are also responsible for allowing Green to throw 4 picks. He sure looked good.

Green looked awful and Manning was simply amazing with his accuracy in game 1.

Grossman is no Green much less a Manning. Heck Green is known for protecting the football.

Im definetely nervous.

We've had 2 good showings but its games like this that earn the confidence that some of our fans already have for some strange reason.

Go beat Chicago, at Soldier field, in their home open and i'll be confident going into any game we play the rest of the way out.

As of now, I think Dallas is an overrated team.

This game scares me, but I think we have a chance.

You better believe I'm nervous -- certainly not confident at all.. I'd feel a whole lot better if our defense was healthy and had played much better & Romo had more experience against good defenses.

Also we putting a lot of pressure on Romo who after all is a relatively young inexperienced QB playing the toughest defense he's ever faced in the NFL and on prime time Sunday night in Chicago. I want so bad for us to show that we are an elite team again even in the so-called weak NFC. Realize it's not the end of the world if we lose cause we've got the rest of the season for our defense to become healthy and get better. But the boo birds will be out all over us if we lose/stink.

BTW: I also thought before the Giants game that we wouldn't win it. Also though the same thing before the Dolphins game. Now I'm praying that my fears are wrong about losing to the Bears and that we win this game. If we do, I can see us winning maybe 2 more games before reality sets in against NE but I can live with that loss. It's just that a win against the Bears would be such a big deal & confidence builder for our really very young team (3rd youngest in the NFL).

I also hope that no matter what happens we don't suffer any injuries.

After the Chicago game, you'll have an idea of how this team wil be.

If Romo can move the ball on the Bears, its safe to say he can move it on anybody.

If he can't, then the Bears will still be the best team in the NFC.

I'm nervous, but I'd be even more worried if the Cowboys were nervous. Whether or not we think they can win doesn't mean anything, they have to believe they can win.

However, I think we'll have some success. I'm really hoping we get the running game going.

If I'm Wade, I let them know that they are better than Chicago. Our talent is comparible if not better than theirs. So their is no reason we should lose.

Take the fight to the dog, don't sit back "ala some ex coaches" and allow them to dictate the pace or the outcome.

Nothing we write or say will have any bearing on the outcome.

I get so tired of posters being "nervous" or "scared" about a game. It is as if it's pavlovian that the closer we get to a game, the more likely there will be a "I'm scared" post.

Exactly. Some posters say they don't believe in statement games, but if we go into Chicago and beat them on national TV, it will indeed make a statement and give the team confidence that it can handle any adverse situation. If we lose, it'll be the same old how good are we really?

It's not that I don't believe in statement games, but it's only the 3rd game of the season. That leaves more than enough time that any setbacks the team has in this game they can bounce back from it.

I'm very confident because of one man and that's JG. This isn't BP Cowboys who played close to the vest. JG is very aggressive and smart. I truely believe we have the weapons needed for JG to attack the great Bears D. Again, this isn't BP Cowboys from last year.

This is both a winnable and a loseable game. You can look at it on paper and see favorable matchups and how we can win, but you can look at that same paper and come up with the different conclusion. I don't know how to feel about it.

I believe I myself have said many times not to take the Bears lightly.

Sure, Rex is a liability for them, but there's ALOT of great things about that team nonetheless-the receiving corps is very good, Benson is coming along OK(and Peterson is complementing him), the D is very, very good, and they have one of the best ST in the league.

They're no different from any other NFL team(with FA/salary cap, they have their share of weaknesses), BUT they are well coached and get the job done, largely b/c they have alot of talent.

With that being said, I won't be surprised if we lost-and no, if Rex has a good game, it's not like our D will be bad for the remainder of the season, it's the end of the world, etc.
