I've already expressed my frustration on here and have come to my senses. The draft isn't over and there's alot of players that are still available that can come in and contribute on our team. I'm still puzzled about passing on Sean Smith but that's neither here or there. I find it ironic that we all thought we weren't drafting 11 guys yet we actually pick up one more draft pick then with what we started with. Jerry and his staff have gotten the best players on our team in the 3-6 round range so I'm going to trust him. He's got a plan, but don't ask me what it is.

We can still get alot of impact guys.
Rashad,Mike Thomas and Sidbury in the 3rd(finally trade up?)

Caldwell and Phillips in the 4th

That's a pretty good draft just right there. I'm still holding out hope and so should alot of you. It isn't over and I hope Jerry proves us wrong with this madness!

I agree, everyone should calm down and see what happens tomorrow. But that is asking people to be rational and that is going to be a very hard task for certain individuals on this forum.

I'm starting to calm down finally. I must admit I was upset because I basically wasted my entire day away waiting for this only to trade out of the first day all together. After listening to the PC, it makes sense. There are still tons of guys available that we can get cheaper by trading down so we didn't lose much.

Its disappointing we got no players on draftmas, but I wouldn't call a game over at the end of the first quarter.

no No NO NO NO

Rage...Rage into the dying of the light...

:p:

Sorry, I cannot calm down. This is a clear signal that they are reverting back to the Larry Lacewell days where the outsmart themselves trying to pick niche players at the exact spot they have them rated instead of just taking good football players when its your turn to pick. I thought they turned the corner over the past 3 drafts but now I'm not so sure. They are acting like we just won the superbowl and have everybody returning when in fact we have a gutless team that got blown out with a playoff spot on the line and they are looking for backups and special teamers. RIDICULOUS!!!!!! They should have used some of those picks to move up and get someone that can help win games not play on the punt team from day one!

I feel ya man. I think we all want instant gratification and it pisses us off if we don't get it right away. I'm actually thrilled that Rashad is still there and think he might be the best safety in this draft. I'm really excited for tommorrow and how it plays out.

Yeah, we all feel that our time was wasted but i'm just going to chill and see what tomorrow brings us. There is some very good potential players on the board and we pick early in the 3rd twice.

There was no one there. Although I still would have taken a shot on Sean Smith but whatever. It wasn't like there was a guy staring in our face. After Unger was picked I didn't like anyone that was remaining except Rashad and he's still there.;)

We could potentially have 3 3rd rounders. Good value too. They are going to be some hungry football players and challenge some of our lolly gaggin players.

I agree everybody needs to calm down. The season hasn’t even started yet and a lot of people are writing us off already. Lets just wait and see what happens who knows some of you may be surprised with this team and the changes that we have made.

Post more often please.

Hey slate, sorry to see we didnt get your boy, but you know the draft and i am sure you were prepared for both ways for it to go.

I dont have a problem with trading down, but I dont see how drafting 12 players in the late rounds is going to help this team. We would be lucky if 5 of them made the roster. Hopefully we have some guys targeting and will do some trading up in day 2.

We could end up trading up a lot tomorrow. No reason we couldn't pick 3 times in the 3rd.

Might find a good player in the 3rd, 4th, or 5th....but we should consider trading some for next year picks. We have 12 second day picks -- is the bottom 20 players on the roster that weak or is this going to be a waste of selections this year???

Churn the roster...
