We should get 4 comp picks, i think.

We also gained a 3rd, 4th, 5th and 7th by my count. Not sure if we traded any away, maybe someone can help with that info?

Not sure if we have all 7 normal pick next year but it could all add up to 14-15 picks.

Anyone care to take a stab at what they all are/could be?

Where did we get a 2nd 7th?

We have a 1, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 6, 7.

Probably lose a 6 for Adam Jones.

That sounds right.

The comp picks added in will give us a total of 13 picks overall.

Are we really going to have 11 picks in 5 rounds on day 2?

Day 2 is going to be completely crazy.

We will need extra phone lines installed in the war room.

this is where u draft 7-8 quality players and use the rest of the picks as either trade bait to get those players or to trade for future picks......cause draft flexibility is very important.

that was this years 7th...we ended up trading that one away when we moved up for Scandrick

we acquired an extra 3rd (Cleveland) and 4th (Lions) next yr, and as someone mentioned we may ultimately lose our 6th (Adam Jones)

I think we also have an extra 6th from Miami from Jason Ferguson trade

and its likely we're getting 4 comp picks next yr

so going into draft day it would appear we'll have 13 picks

If you look at the team:

QB- we are set with Romo. We could use a developmental QB, but apparently they like Bartel...so maybe he is that developmental QB

RB- we are loaded. Barber, Jones, and Choice.

FB- We'll see what Anderson brings; if he is the answer, we don't need a FB

TE- set with Witten, Bennett, and Curtis

OL- we have our starters plus developmental guys like McQ, Free, and Marten. We'll probably add another prospect to the mix.

DL- Not a pressing need; youth and depth is plenty here

LBer- a lot will depend upon Burnett and Carp.

CB- Solved.

S- Ehh. We'll see. We do have some young guys in Watkins and Brown though...

Really, WR is the most glaring thing.... Jerry will be in good position to trade for a WR or move up for an elite prospect if he wants to. And the reason we'll be able to, is bec. this draft really solved two major areas; RB and CB.

Right now we have: 1,2,3,3,4,4,5,6,6,7

We may have to give Tenn a 6th but also might get back a 4th or 5th(lets hope not)

Thats anywhere from 9 to 11 picks

Add in the chance at up to 4 comp picks and they will have anywhere from 9 to 15 picks going into the draft.

However, I think a few of those picks we be used on a vet WR shortly before camp.

With a 13-3 roster stocked by Parcells

JJ was wise to defer to 2009 draft picks - most none of these day 2 guys even make our roster. Next year we unload it all to move - UP.

Thanks for the input guys. At any rate, we will end up with a dozen plus picks.

Two words - Michael Crabtree

Could be a bigger pipe-dream than McFadden. Crab will be a Top 10 pick, and if things go as planned this year, we'll be drafting in the high 20s again. Meanwhile, a team like Philly, armed with two first rounders, will by lying in the weeds. And what if a crappy team like Miami simply says no to all trade offers?

BTW, is Crab even eligible? I thought he was a frosh last year.

Thats fine...if the Lions franchise Roy Williams we have more ammo to trade for him, or just sign him outright and give up the two #1's (09, 10)
