Thats fine...if the Lions franchise Roy Williams we have more ammo to trade for him, or just sign him outright and give up the two #1's (09, 10)

David

That would make the Mendenhall-Jones debate look like a tea party. We'll never pay that price, nor should we. He's not a transformative, elite talent at his position.

14 picks would be a ton. Not sure it would be wise to pick 14 times so the team might want to package some to go higher.

RB- we are loaded. Barber, Jones, and Choice.

LBer- a lot will depend upon Burnett and Carp.

CB- Solved.

I agree with all but these three....
RB, don't really know what we got with Jones or Choice...come on they are rookies that have not played one snap, could be great or could be a bust, if they are a bust, we are in trouble becuase Barber can't carry the load alone.

LBer- so you are saying we are screwed

CB- Pacman may not be reinstated, again, going to be hard to rely on a rookie here, and according to some on this board Newman should and will be allowed to walk (not going to happen though)

this is what i think guys; first this is our picks for next year
our 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 minus # 6 for pacman if with team,
that gives us 6 picks,
then we got a 3rd and 4th in trades, one from clev. other detroit,
thats 8 picks;
then a # 6 for jason fergueson, yes a # 6 next year from miami
thats 9;
then for j jones, reeves, nate jones and davis 3-4 comp picks,
that makes 12-13 picks

1, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4 comp, 5, 5 comp, 6 from miami, 6 comp, 7, maybe 7 comp
12-13 picks

then jerry jones, said you use those picks, like he did with jimmy johnson to trade up, get a wow player,

if you look at our roster, we have about 9-12 opening spots

this year we drafted at least 4-5 player as keepers
along with 2-3 undrafted players, and jerry jones said they may look at drafting a veteran QB too

but i think main thing with those extra 3rd and 4th picks, they will be used to trade for a veteran WR, say if chad johnson comes available,

right now bengals cant afford the cap hit, neither could we yet, but after june 1st, bengals could trade chad johnson;

thats what im looking for jerry to do, use those picks in the summer to get a vet QB and make a run at chad johnson or roy williams wr from detroit,

Nice post, very interesting even if you end up being a bit off(maybe you'll be right on the money?), very nice effort!

With a 13-3 roster stocked by Parcells

JJ was wise to defer to 2009 draft picks - most none of these day 2 guys even make our roster. Next year we unload it all to move - UP.

for crabtree!!!!!!

Could be a bigger pipe-dream than McFadden. Crab will be a Top 10 pick, and if things go as planned this year, we'll be drafting in the high 20s again. Meanwhile, a team like Philly, armed with two first rounders, will by lying in the weeds. And what if a crappy team like Miami simply says no to all trade offers?

BTW, is Crab even eligible? I thought he was a frosh last year.

Jax moved from 26 to 8 for surprisingly less than i though it would take. The cost of the top 10 has made the old draft chart obsolete. Jax didnt even have to give up a 1st nxt yr to move up18 spots.

I agree that crabtree will go top 5 probably, but he is an absolute randy moss/l fitz/to type once in every 5 yrs cant miss type young wr. It would so be worth our 1stm 2nd, a 3rd and a 4th (i say that b/c we have other 3rd and 4th's) to grab a super super elite WR, the kind that dont make it to pick 15, much less pick 32.:D

We'll see....here is to hoping, but 12-14 picks does give some options!

you wouldnt trade two late 1st rd picks for Roy Williams? really?

I would want to see what the WR crop in the draft and free agency looks like first, but he's a pretty good player with alot of football left ahead of him
