What is wrong with people this morning? First someone questions whether winning against Seattle is important, as if it's ok to give up before the division has even been decided. And now this award winning thread...this idea that we should run the table Just because we need to for winning the division. Does someone actually have to be told that the odds aren't even close for that to happen?

Why oh why don't the CZ Admin add a new Zone section called the Phantom Zone, for those special people who need to be timed out for all eternity? Is that too much to ask?
If you would have read the post instead of just the title on that winning against Seattle point you tried to make, you would see that’s not what he said.

Coming up over the next 6 weeks, we have Seahawks, Eagles, Bills, Dolphins, Lions, and the so-called Commanders (whatever that means).
All of the parrots amongst our fanbase are jabbering about how we haven't beaten anyone with a winning record.

The trick to that argument is we're often part of the reason the teams we play don't have winning records, because we end up issuing them a loss.

The other part to that argument, it's all talk. This team hasn't really been talking much lately. Take DaRon Bland, for instance, he just goes out there and let's his play do the talking. McCarthy didn't hand us a bunch of excuses after the loss to the Cardinals, he stayed late at the office and just got the adjustments done. Personally, I appreciate how McCarthy is a perpetual student of the game and brings a level of curiosity, which allows him to adapt to an ever-evolving league.

That's good for the players. By week 11, you ought to know what your team is or what it can do. The key now is putting it all together and executing what you've been preparing for on game day.

This team wasn't the most prepared team in week 5. But they look like one of the most prepared teams in the league right now. They look as good as the Eagles and 9ers. The Eagles have just been blessed with luck lately, and the 9ers have shown they aren't invincible.

No team is actually invincible. But in a one-and-done playoff tournament, you have to play like you're invincible in the post-season to get to the Super Bowl. To get where we all want to be, we'll have to win several in a row, usually against winning teams (unless we're talking last year's Buccaneers). This team can win the next 6 in a row. If they do that, anything is possible. I'm not counting them out to be the number 1 seed. Over the years, we've seen how the teams who gel and start coming together towards the end of the season are usually the teams that win, and we've seen teams start strong only to fizzle out when it matters.

I'm not going to say we are winning 6 in a row, but I'm saying we can, and we "should." It's something in the air around the Cowboys, though. To me, this year feels different than last. Mostly because we're not being predictable on offense. We're not running up the A and B gaps to start the game. Instead, we're passing to set up the run.

With our current defense, passing to run the ball is a formula with success. Had we begun the season with our current philosophy, we'd likely have a different record right now.

Somehow, though, I have a feeling those losses will end up being a blessing in disguise, especially the trouncing we got by San Fran.

This team is coming together, even more than last year, which makes me think we should win out from here.
Spot on...complete lay of the land at present.

I'm liking the picture for the Cowboys more and more. The more chips on the shoulder the better. At games against the Eagles and the 49's, walk straight up and punch them squarely in the mouth. Penalty Stenalty.:starspin: Get paybacks, Parsons!!

I am expecting 3-3 or 4-2. Anything better than that would be fantastic.

That being said, Dallas certainly could win out. I think they should be slightly favored in pretty much every game, even the game against Philly at home.

I wish I shared your optimism, Doctor. The patient has been in a coma for a quarter century. Nothing works. Adrenaline, even. He flickers a slight twitch every once in a while. The other nurses and I were considering power of attorney.

That was until Dak started using his legs. Then we were sure nothing is sure.

Should? They could, but that's a lofty expectation. The Cowboys have looked awesome at home against some bad teams, but all three losses were on the road and one was at Arizona. I will be pleasantly surprised if the Cowboys win at cold Buffalo then follow that up with a win in Miami. They could, I'm just not expecting it.

Before the Carolina game I said 7-1 and am sticking to that.

Actually, we play the Eagles one more. Then if the Eagles lose to us, plus another team, that should put us in pretty good position...
Eagles have to lose three more and we have to win out. If we both finish 14-3 they win any tiebreaker scenario (assuming they don’t lose to the Giants as one of those losses)

The problem is the Eagles only play three teams with a pulse the rest of the way and one of them is Seattle.

Beating both Buffalo and Miami on the road in consecutive weeks will not be easy. In fact, I'm not expecting it.

..here's what VERY possible. We take care of SEA, Thursday.

SF beats Philly on Sunday. Showdown for 1st place comes to Dallas, following week.
I still think they own all tie-breakers. We have 2 NFC losses, they have Zero.

Arizona was a fluke, SF snowballed after we made some bad plays, and Philly was stolen.

The Dallas Cowboys are the #1 scoring team but they are not the #1 scoring offense. When you subtract all defensive and special teams scoring, the Cowboys are #6 in offensive scoring.

The true leaders in offensive scoring:

1. Miami
2. Buffalo
3. Baltimore
4. San Fransisco
5. Philadelphia
6. Dallas
7. Detroit

The Cowboys will play the 1st and 2nd best offensive scoring teams in back to back away games. The Cowboys are currently 3-3 in away games.

Miami and Buffalo are also ranked #1 and #2 in red zone scoring. Miami scores TD's 80% of the time in home games from the red zone.

The Cowboys will be at home against Philadelphia and Detroit.

In all, the Cowboys will play four of the top seven scoring offenses during their last six games.

The Cowboys should win out from here? If the Cowboys defense is everything we hope they are then that is still only a possibility.
