It's not as-if all free agent DTs have been signed by other teams.

We stopped the run when we wanted to last season. Teams did not run at will. We shut down TB and SF was not successful running the way they were the previous season against us. Quinn just doesn’t worry about the run until a team makes him do so. Hopefully we bring back Carlos Watkins. He’s been a solid baller for us. Hankins….not so sure. We definitely need a young run stuffer behind LVE. Don’t make the usual mistake of waiting till that guy is needed.

It's really not their philosophy (Quinn's or FO) to draft NTs with a high pick unless they have real pass rush potential.

Quinn isn’t scared to give up running yards. He’s more concerned with getting after the QB which stops chunk plays and creates turn overs

We did an excellent job stopping the run and the pass vs the Niners by holding them to 312 total yards offense……I recall quarterbacks doing more damage to us via the run than was expected during the regular season.
