We drafted Zeke in large part to make it easier on Romo's backup/eventual replacement.
Wentz or Goff in a trade up; yes, next year's 1st included or give up the 3rd for Lynch that SEA wanted. It was there this past draft...we got Jaylon who could be great next season and Collins who has good potential. But no immediate defensive help either or future QB for Romo to groom; we know JG/Wilson aren't the pair to do so as was disturbingly proven last year. Can anyone who is complaining please illuminate us on who they wanted to backup Romo? Sanchez? Griffin? Kaepernick?
They all could have been had
No and I'm not comfortable with our future at QB either and that's a far bigger concern.
The GM will always be the biggest issue with this team until a real one is ever hired. This is priority #2. As good as Zeke Elliott is, and I'm becoming a fan boy of EZE, he does not matter with a bum at QB, which is all the Cowboys have behind Romo right now. 3 bums who can't play.
I always love the "whatever we do is right" crowd.
"We" don't even feel great about the QB situation.
Stephen Jones, after watching Tyrion Lannister stink up the last few games last year, said addressing the back-up QB position is one of our top priorities.
"That's going to be No. 1 on our list, how do we do that better in the future."
Jerry Jones came out of the draft regretting not making the move to get Paxton Lynch.
"...But if I had to do it all over again? I’d give the three.”
"We" have no idea what "we" are doing.
We may have messed up with our backup QBs, but any backup QB should have won us some games..
The coaching was predicated on playing conservative, hoping the defense would generate TOs better positioning us to get some points, while not switching things up defensively either.
Coaching all around was awful. You can't just blame the back-ups.
Not if the play callers decide we're going to let the defense know what we're doing on every play.
