Lavonte David is like 36 years old... it'd have literally the same impact as the Anthony Barr bargain bin signing.

Way over the hill LBs and RBs are almost never an impact signing.
Hey he just turned 33!

It’s funny how being 33 makes you old in football lol

Marcus Peters, A’Shawn Robinson, and a cheap vet LB better than Barr…that completes the defense and is extremely reasonable.

On offense just figure out how to get a solid WR (preferably not with the initials OBJ).

4 guys…get the rest in the draft

It depends on the position. If you're a QB, K or P.... 33 is definitely not too old. If you're a lineman on either side of the ball it's iffy. If you're a WR or TE that doesn't depend on speed to win routes, maybe it could work. If you're a free safety or man coverage corner it could be a problem because of the speed deficit. If you're an off ball linebacker or running back, it's definitely a problem due to the wear and tear from those positions.

Dallas currently is stuck with contracts that are difficult such as Zeke, Dak, DLaw, Tyron Smith, Martin, etc. which forces them to have to either release/trade such players or restructure...kicking the can down the road.

They have placed themselves in a corner with 'their guys' and no way Jerry is of the age to move forward with a rebuild but the fact remains he needs to keep the team relevant so a rebuild won't happen although that is exactly what needs to happen.

"Daddy, what are we going to do in free agency this year"?

"Don't know but if we have to, we can always devise a plan to distract the fans".

Cant go into the season with all rookies at RB. Need a grey beard or 2 to train them up.
At that position, I’ll take fresh legs over experience.

The talent difference between Elliott and Davis is huge, but Davis is now the better runner because his legs aren’t shot.

It doesn’t have to be a knock on Elliott to admit what has happened to many great backs in the league has also happened to him. He got his money way above and beyond what he would have gotten anywhere else. They’ve really gotta get better at letting the sentimental crap go at the expense of the on the field performance.

Anyway, tag Pollard so as to not make the long term commitment to a RB yet again, and draft one early and late this year. I want to be four deep at TB with no considerable drop off from one to the other.

Sure we all want free agents, it's a major need on this team. Often times we spend too much on our own players, when maybe we should focus on guys that were on other teams .

With that said, we have to have a plan on what to do this free agency period. We can't just say hey we've been quiet, let's make major moves. There's moves you can make, without going the bottom barrel way we've been going. That way doesn't seem to be working too well. I'll be honest we've picked up a few players this way, and we got lucky!

We usually wait until the waves of free agency settle, I'd like to see us get in that first wave. Bring in a top guy, then sit back and nab someone else that could really help us, but not be super super pricey. We make these moves without blowing all our money, draft well, and I think this can really help us in 2023! Please give your thoughts
Put your application in! Lol!
