We Will Beat The Giants

I had 500 on the Cowboys+4 and another 250 on the Cowboys moneyline week one, so don't tell me noone gave us a shot week one.

Problem is, that game looked like our Super Bowl. We've been struggling week in and week out, and are 2-3 since that game while barely beating a 2-4 Buccaneers team and barely beating a 1-5 Panthers team.

Our offensive line is struggling. Romo has no chemistry with his receivers. Murray is injured. Ogletree isn't going to hang 8-100-2tds again.

And oh, our defense is putrid against no huddle attacks. You know, something that Eli Manning and the Giants excel at.

Yeah, we could win. But if you're being honest with yourself, you'd have to admit that it is highly, highly, highly.... HIGHLY unlikely at this point.

I'd be suprised if the Cowboys opened up as less than a 7 point dog at home.

I don't see how we can't beat them considering we absolutely crushed them last time.

Winning by four = absolutely crushing.

Also, Demarco Murray wasn't injured week one. Neither was Barry Church. And neither was Sean Lee, who still might play but will likely be limited.

Should also note that we have zero home field advantage, and recent history has shown we suprisingly play better on the road.

We play up or down to our competition it seems. It's going to be another nail biting game.

It seems the only time we don't have a nail biter is when we get blown out tho..

Romo didn't throw an INT, Claiborne got a pick, Spencer got a sack, Bailey nailed a 49 yarder...I'm feeling good about our chances.

No way, we'll definitely be favored in this game. You're a gambler, you know just as well as I do that the Cowboys are one of the biggest public teams going.

I predict the opening line will be Dallas -2.5.

Nice pick up opening night by the way.

the 2012 NYG team will crush this 2012 cowboy team.

nevermind that cowboy win back in september @ the meadowlands. it means nothing.

Optimism is the madness of insisting that all is well when we are miserable

And, on the contrary, whining like a ***** is the madness of insisting that we can't beat a team we've already beaten..........on the road.

No one around here is claiming that all is well (at least not anyone with a functioning brain cell). Merely that we have a chance to beat a team that we have already beaten on their turf. Honestly, I personally don't share others' optimism in this thread regarding the game next week. But, sulking and acting like we don't have chance is simply whining for whining's sake.

If we can get some turnovers and the offense can cash in, we can win. Not sure it will happen though.

Not sure where the optimism is coming from.

But I think we have a good record outside of 2010 in games where the cheerleaders do the Halloween performance.

The only year we lost since 03 when they do this is 2010 to jax.

And they are doing it this Sunday.

I'd be shocked TBH. I usually have a good feel for these things and most of the time can predict and opening line within 1 point. Often I'm dead on.

But I really don't have a feel for this one. For all I know we could be -2 to +2.

If we keep the penalties under control, I agree.

I tend to agree, but Cruz isn't going to drop 3-4 passes this time. This a big time test for the oline and the entire D.

Well I don't mind them not being a "dominate" home team....Dominant would be nice. Who is Morris Claibourne? Seriously. They won't be facing teams like Atlanta, Philly, Washington, Pitt and NO, we will be facing them. I could go on...proofreading really isn't that difficult. You guarantee Lee will play? Like when you guaranteed the Ravens would beat the Eagles and you bet your account? Yeah, okay.

And no you didn't describe "pretty well" how the Cowboys play down to their competition. That's actually a terrible trait for a team to have, but I guess you can some how use that as an excuse and ignore the teams alarming play. The offense needs to actually put points on the board, because it looks like Rob's defense is gonna get destroyed if it keeps playing how it has lately, especially with the way the Giants offense has been.

Sean already said that he'll play so I'll take his word over yours. I never said playing down to the competition was a good trait to have. Your right it's a terrible trait to have and I really wish they didn't have it, but they do. However they to tend play much better against the better teams in the league. Case in point week 1, last week they nearly beat the Ravens a team that had won 15 in a row dating back several years.

You say Rob's defense has been playing bad, but you do realize they only allowed 14 points to a very explosive Carolina offense right? The offense has been responsible for giving up alot of points this season so when you actually look at it and analyze the team's defense this season it has been pretty good. Much better than last year. As for Claibourne I'm confused are you trying to be sarcastic? I'm pretty sure everyone knows who he is. He's a damn good cornerback and I'm happy he's on our football team.

You didn't see them winning Week 1 either.

I was so confident that they'd get blown out, that I paid $1,000 for two tickets to the game. Oh wait...
