then why sell them to fans? i think it is stupid to make these jerseys for fans if they are never going to wear them on the field.
Jerry Jones disagrees.

I know it is for money.....but just think how much more money could be made if the team actually showed the jerseys on the field....even if it is only preseason.

The Cowboys current blue road uniforms are the best looking uniforms in all of football. I wish we wore them more often. I know most of the long time fans would disagree, but I would be all for wearing the blue at home, especially since it actually matches the star and the field paint.

I also like our current throwbacks.

I'm a long-time fan who agrees wholeheartedly. We should wear the blue in half the home games and white in the other half. Maybe blue could for be for NFC East opponents and Thanksgiving, for example. That way, we would still wear the traditional silver blue pants with the white jersey half the time and everybody should be happy.

If I was going to buy any jersey this year, it would be a Miles Austin throwback. Something about him in that KC game will be entrenched in my Cowboys memories forever.

By the way, what do we have to do to get him put as a graphic option?

I got my brother one of those this Christmas. Looked sweet.

The Patriots wore one like that instead of their usual whites a few times years ago... They even wore it against us in 2003. It looks pretty good, IMO. Not sure what kind of pants we'd wear with it, though.

But I actually wouldn't mind something like that occasionally, just because we wear the white so often. I wouldn't want to mess with tradition at home, but on the road once or twice? I'd be okay with that.

Wouldn't want to mess with the blues because we wear them so seldom anyway, and they're great as they are.

I wish the NFL would realize how right Tex Schramm was all the way back in the 1960's. Watching the other team wear white every game means the game looks too much alike. I wish the home team always wore white and the road team their dark colors for every team.

.

This I don't agree with. The white unis are a tradition that should never be broken and I HATE the throwbacks. I not only DO NOT like the designs or colors, but they remind me of the 1994 season when they first came out. I always thought they brought bad luck to the Cowboys, especially in the NFC Championship game against the Whiners.

btw, IMO, these should be the preseason uniforms. I think the players should have to earn the right to wear the blue or white uniforms......you earn that right by making the roster.

Very interesting.. Much like my Huskers' " blackshirts "..

I like the idea.

ALthough the tradition is the opposite in most cases ( including college football ), I whole hartedly agree with you. Whites should be for home games, dark for away, which is the way that the other pro leagues go.

OOOH that's a great idea. I also like our throwbacks too, absolutely those should be our Thanksgiving game uni.

Black?

We're not the Raiders. Black is not in our color scheme.

I think silver, with blue pants would be sick.

I know you (and others) have said that for years and I completely agree Hos. Perhaps some kind of petition would get Goodell's attention I don't know. Tex the innovator isn't appreciated as much as he should be I do know that.
