I wish the NFL would realize how right Tex Schramm was all the way back in the 1960's. Watching the other team wear white every game means the game looks too much alike. I wish the home team always wore white and the road team their dark colors for every team.

I think a game against the Eagles or Commanders would look good if both wore their colors.

Blue vs Red

Blue vs Green

Maybe green would be a little too close to the blue but at least the Commander games could be red vs blue and I think it would look pretty sweet.

The Dallas road uniform is the best in all of football. I would prefer it be the same as it was in the late 70s, but the silver pants with the dark blue jersey is awsome. As to this silver jersey, I would rather see it on Thanksgiving instead of the early 60s throwback they wear now. I am not a big fan of those bi-color jerseys.

Yeah I'd be in favor of colors playing. I change the uni's in Madden all the time for that.

Like back in 06 or 07 when Carrol wanted USC to wear their red's vs. UCLA's blues.

Crips vs bloods lol :lmao:

I do agree with this actually. USC and UCLA revived this and it looks awesome.

you go be a raiders fan..........btw, Dallas, Philly, and Detroit, all could go Silver and I believe the uniforms would look quite sharp.

I guess I came across wrong in my post. Should have engaged my brain before typing. sorry, I wasn't trying to question your fanhood. I guess I just take the traditional stance when it comes to the uniforms.

Sorry I sounded like a butt.

Boring jersey...no thanks.

When I see that it makes me think of the Eagles and their black jersey.

I typically like any Cowboys jersey presented before me -- from the training camp practice unis, to the throwbacks we wear nowadays, to even the oft-hated-on 1994 double-star jerseys. It goes without saying I love the current blue uniforms and like the tradition of the white ones.

But this silver one? Ugh. Not for me, I guess.

Excuse my ignorance but what did Tex do back in the day?

Basically he was the architect of the NFL as you know it today.. Tex was in charge of the marketing dpt for the Rams before he came to the Cowboys. Once Dallas established itself as a powerhouse in the late 60's, early '70's, he went to work on improving the team, and the league's, image through TV.

America's Team may have been coined by somebody else, but it was a creation of Tex Schram and despite the Steelers winning 4 SBs, it was Dallas who was the flagship of the league TV wise. Just like it is today. I don't care what anybody says, but the NFL is not the same unless Dallas has some type of success. The interest is just not there.

He was a cheap bastid, though. I was too young to remember, but stories have come out of players that weren't too fond of him during that time because he'd undercut their salaries..

Agreed.

Too add: The Home White Jersey is part of the "royal/regal/elite" image that is the Dallas Cowboys.

Well then why to MOST team use White as they home jersey?
I do agree that Dallas is either loved or hated. I dont care that the Steelers now have more super bowls than us. We are still America's team.

And well.. I don't know if it is me getting older but i am starting to like more and more the blue jersey

Dallas lost to Stealers in the 70's putting them ahead of us in SB wins.
90's - We surpassed them in SB wins (1995 SB - We beat them to 5)
200's - They tie and surpass us.

My point is we havent always been ahead of them in SB wins... but I told this one Stealers sucka that you were first to 6 but we will be first to 7. It really burned him up - I was surprised then I laughed my butt off at him. He didnt like it.

Most of them do not. They wear their dark jerseys at home.

Only the Cowboys and Dolphins do it for every game. Philly and Washington do it for Dallas only trying to play on the blue jersey jinx.

Yeah, wear it just once! But, make sure it's dark outside and noone is around.
