Kaepernick has the benefit of a competent owner, GM, & staff...in addition to one of the top 3 defenses in football, arguably the best OL in the league, a solid running game, and weapons such as Boldin, Davis, Crabtree, etc.
Brady and Rodgers are two of the very few (and IMO the best at), consistently putting a team on their back and carrying them despite obvious offensive or defensive deficiencies. That said, Romo helped keep the Cowboys competitive despite their many flaws. Kaepernick shoulders no such burden...particularly on a game-to-game basis, simply because his organization/team is very sound all they way around. Despite the worst defense in franchise history (and one of the worst in NFL history), old Al Davis part II as owner/GM, a suspect coaching staff overall, etc...they were in it until the end again, with 5 of their losses coming by a combined 8 points.
