Weather where you are

We're expecting nasty weather for the next 24 hours... temperatures in the teens, high winds, snow... your basic blizzard conditions (nothing like Buffalo, though).

My snowplow and snowplowing playlist stand ready:

Highway to Hell -- AC/DC
I Drove All Night -- Roy Orbinson
Born to Run -- Bruce Springsteen
On The Road Again -- Willie Nelson
Holiday Road -- Lindsey Buckingham
Life is a Highway -- Rascal Flats
Road to Nowhere -- Talking Head
Don't Stop Me Now -- Queen (actually, almost anything by Queen is good driving music)
I've Been Everywhere -- Johnny Cash
Running on Empty -- Jackson Browne

Yesterday it was rainy and extremely windy. Today it’s cool but the sun is out and was a great walk with the pool h before football…

It's 8F and snowing. I've already plowed our road once and probably have do so again this afternoon.

There is an old Johnny Cash song, "Five Feet High and Rising". It's not five feet deep yet, but it is definitely rising.

yuk. If I lived somewhere where I had access to off road trails then snow would be appealing. All snow does where I live (southern Ontario) is just creat a mess and is dirty from all the road salt that gets used…however, I do like taking my dog for a walk in freshly fallen snow…mainly because she loves to romp in the snow…

stay safe whiles out plowing..

Cold December weather with a touch of snow on the ground...i like myself. I'm an outdoor person so even real cold weather don't keep me indoors. Plus my dog loves this weather...

I know there are a lot of areas in the NE affected by this article blast.

In MT, we're expecting temperatures in the -20 to -30 F on Tuesday and Wednesday and by Christmas, temperatures will back to the much more normal mid-20's.

Oh, and snow... lot's and lot's of snow... not inches, but feet of snow expected. Got to break out my snowplowing playlist.

I'm gearing up for snow and sub zero wind chills. Piling straw and hay bales around the well house and making sure cattle have a nice bed of straw in their barn. Oh the joys of tending cattle in bad weather and bustin ice in water troughs.

I checked the weather app for Irving this morning. And it shows that once the temp drops below 33F Thursday morning, that it will be around 36 Hours [3 Days] before the temp rises again above 32F, by 11am Christmas morning.

Welcome to the shortest "Day" of the year . . . The Winter Solstice.

I recommend listening to this when there's snow on the ground . . .
