Yeah, it's likely off base, but as glad as I am to see Weeden out of there, I don't really feel any better about Cassel. Hope I'm wrong.

Instead of being pissed or feeling unlucky, Weeden should be happy. He doesn't belong in the NFL but has made more money than most Americans will in their lifetime. Count your blessings Mr. Weeden.

You should feel a little better, if just for the fact that Cassel can throw an out route, and that alone will open up the run game. He doesn't have a cannon but he can stretch a defense laterally, which will make the run game more effective, and also allow for some nice gains against this Giants defense that allows a lot of space in the middle of the field.

Weeden couldn't throw to his left, and he was too hesitant or lacked the anticipation to target routes outside the numbers. That basically allowed teams to concentrate on the middle of the field, and in turn making the run game much less effective. Cassel isn't Romo but he's going to be much better than Weeden in this matchup.
