I can't find anywhere where he himself said he was "pissed" but anyway. He's been stealing a paycheck for 2 years now from the Cowboys. He flat out is awful when asked to step up and if he's mad about being demoted he has nobody to blame but himself. All summer long I read well he's going to be fine this year if he had to play..he had finally been able to work out what troubled him..he had the same coach..same system...wow he was throwing good. He was going to be good if Tony got hurt.

Well Tony got hurt and the guy is still a major fail. I'm all for replacing him. He stinks.

Sorry but he didn't take advantage of his chance. As Sturm pointed out, he was nervous to try and hit "NFL Open receivers" vs checking down because they weren't "playground open."

Sorry. It's like giving a horse several chances to be secretariat.

I don't know that I would agree with this. I think it's like giving a horse a chance to show that he can be competitive in Santa Anita. I would never look at Weedon and feel like he has any chance at the Triple Crown.

LOL....

Having said that, I'm not going to pile on the guy. He did play well enough for us to win in two of those games IMO. We just didn't get it done.

Cassell was going to start the millisecond the trade paperwork hit the fax machines at the league office.

I think Garrett is a fair guy. I think that if Weedon had shown he could handle the job, he would have been the starter until Tony could come back. I just don't think it was in the cards for him. I didn't expect Weedon to be able to beat the Pats. I did, however, hold out hope that he could perform at a level where you expect some production from your Offense. It's not all on him but the fact that he did not perform well in situations where the opportunities were there is on him. I think Garrett understands the backup role and I think he did give Weedon every chance. At some point, you gotta do what's best for the team. Garrett was more then fair IMO.

Why be pissed at the messenger? Be pissed at the guy who thought he was good enough to carry the load for a few games ... "in case" Tony Romo was hurt for a game or two.

They tried fitting a QB into their system instead of the opposite. Weeden is & always will be a spread QB with 1 read option.

I'm pissed because he tried NOTHING to help... Literally! He was more than happy to dink & dunk from the horrible play calling the last 3 games. Instead of taking the team on his back..... He drove us off the cliff

Typo - "beat secretariat" not "be" lol

He absolutely did not play well enough in any of the games. Our backs gave us 28 points against Atlanta and Weeden didn't do jack against a terrible Rob Ryan defense against New Orleans.
