One thing we probably won't be getting with Weeden at QB is the long, sustained drive very often. He doesn't strike me as the guy that will convert a bunch of 3rd and 5's with pinpoint accuracy to keep moving the chains.
He reminds me of a lot of QB's from the 60s and 70s era. Where they may end the day 11 of 27, but 2 of those completions might be 40 or 50 yard TD passes.

Today aside, I just dont think he will be completing a high pct of passes.

Weeden is not a good QB. He does not know where to go with the ball and is very slow on his progressions. He can throw a slant or dig to his primary receiver, but QBs that cannot quickly move off their primary receiver cannot move an offense consistently. For my money, I'd rather start Moore. I don't care about his spaghetti arm behind this line (today notwithstanding). He will throw to the right receiver, on time, and with enough anticipation to complete the pass (even if not a lot of zip).

He knew where to go with it today 7 times out of 7 reads. Sounds like pretty good progressions to me.

Our philosophy is still run first. Romo was coached last year to take what the defense gave him. Weeden will do,the same.

Are we sure the defense is legit? The Eagles offense has been pretty bad this year.

Weeden at least gets reps with the #1's on Wednesdays . He should be better prepared than most back ups. Plus he as year under is belt in this offense. Also, the o line and the running game can only get better. Not to mention our discipline .

I don't think Weeden is as bad as people make him out to be.

He's been pretty terrible throughout his career. With a depleted team around him, I don't expect him to be much better.

I would vote yes. This defense wasn't just good today, they were a dominant force. Pass rush still needs to improve, but philly got blown up in the run game, and our secondary looks 10 times what it was the past couple years. They are playing with a little swagger, and now with romo out I'm sure that group feels obligated to carry this team on their backs.

It wont be as easy as take what the defense gives you. Without Romo and Dez teams are going to stack the box and make Weeden beat them. He has make a defense scared of his ability to beat them deep. Until that happens we're going to see a whole different look from defenses going forward.
