I have to say the NFL was full of surprises to open up the season

KC getting blown out at home by the Bills I doubt many saw this coming

Balt beating Pitt not a shock but 35 to 7 in a game that in normally a pretty even matchup

Bears all over the Falcons again not a complete shock but doubt many saw the Bears winning it by that much

Cam Newton's performance. I haven't been real high on him but he surprised me.

He did put up some big numbers for his rookie debut. It will be interesting to see how he holds up vs GB next weekend.

You know those numbers will go down against GB. But I had low expectations for him coming in the league. I guess training camp is over rated.

I have to add the Dallas O Line to the surprises of the week. I had a lot of questions answered from their performance. A lot of promise, IMO.

I'm sure his number will go down vs GB and I expect GB to win that game but it will be interesting to see how he does. Will he be over whelmed will he play a decent game? I don't know we will see

Yep, that Bills game surprised me. Big time, and the game was played in KC.

Not much of a surprise with the Ravens game.

The other surprise, the way the Colts lost. OK, no Peyton, but are you that bad without him???

And you guys, come on, can't you help a Patriot fan out by taking out the Jets??? NO--------- a little help here please. I am sure that loss was painful.

Tonight our game Pats vs Phins will be interesting. The Phins always do well -- most of the time -- when we are in their house. And then the reverse when they come to Foxboro. To be honest with you, I have no idea how good or bad our team will be this year. Too many questions, and holes.

And to me, the surprise team of the year is going to be the Lions -- if their QB stays healthy. I see them making the playoffs.

But no Eagles in the mix please. I will never like Vick, cannot stand the guy. Disgusting character.

At least WE HAVE football!!!!!!! Whew, that was a close one.

The Bill's win in KC was a surprise, but maybe it shouldn't have been. Gailey had those guys working hard last year and Fitzpatrick actually played pretty well at times. It was good coaching and just plain hard work that won it. KC's coach stated simply that Buffalo was better prepared and he took full blame for his team's effort.
