Watching Bears/Giants since I missed watching the Giants last week.

Little Eli did lead an opening scoring drive.

I was more interested to see Dexter Lawrence since apparently that was the Giants' end game to Dallas' running attack.

I have to say, he is looking a little bit like Trysten Hill out there.

Pretty ineffective.

You say Lawrence is ineffective... based on what? Is he getting blown off the line?

He basically is getting zero push with single blocking. And he does not exactly burn things up with effort.

Those Clemson players get so much hype. I really don't think NFL teams get that with players that come off of star-studded defenses.

I would be pretty concerned if I were a Giants fan. They decided they wanted a run stopper instead of a pass rusher when they took him.

Well, unless he is "still learning", they have some issues getting immediate payback for the first round pick.

Giants defense looked like trash for the second week in a row, our offense will destroy them with or without Zeke. They have a young secondary, no LB’er and zero pass rush. They are arguably worse than last year when they were second to last in either pressures or sacks.

Jones is looking good but it’s their first offense vs the Bears second and third stringers.

Edit: Jones just fumbled, I must have jinxed him :)

Yeah, he’s supposed to demand double teams and be able to anchor against them. If he isn’t doing that, then he won’t be worth much, because he damn sure isn’t a pass rusher.

He’s no Snacks, their defense has regressed.

But that's the whole point.

Gettlemen got all defensive and said he is more than just some run stopper.

Well, so far, you could not tell he was a first round draft pick. He's not drawing double teams from the Bears second and third team OL.

And they have moved him around, all over the line. End, nose, under, 5-T. Nothing.

I do think the Giants secondary could be stellar in a year or two. Lots of talent, just young and raw.

His final season at Clemson was somewhat disappointing as well.

I’d love for him to bust. I’d lol at my Giants buddies.

I believe he was playing with an injury his senior year, his junior year was his best, and that’s what they were hoping he could return to talent wise. Big gamble, literally and figuratively.

I love the Giants GM! Guy seems like an arrogant idiot, just need Jones to suck to be the icing on the cake.

Eli looked good, but it was against the Bears 2nd team. The Bears are sitting their starters just like the Rams will be tomorrow night. I expect Dak and company to move through the Rams defense with ease tomorrow. If not, then we're in real trouble.

Laughing at Giants fans is a big thing for me. It hasn't gotten old yet.
I like listening to how excited their fans are getting over watching their firsts playing the Bears scrubs and they’re not even that dominant. I can’t wait until week 1, it will be a blood bath.

On the other hand, I hope our players don’t get too cocky because the first 3 games may be the easiest stretch they have all season.

Chicago pulled all of their starters tonight...and Bears are giving the G-men a game.

Jones coming back to earth, another lost ball due to no pocket awareness.
I loved Bob Papa's commentary.

He brought up the conversation he had with Charlie Weis on the Opening Drive on Sirius and they were talking about keeping two hands on the football.

Well, Jones had two hands on the football and it didn't matter.
