They have problems all over the place on defense.

They have a bunch of names I have heard of, but it does not seem they are anything scary.

Daniel Jones can throw the football.

I was skeptical of the pick, like a lot of people, but he's looked pretty good (albeit in VERY limited preseason action).

If the Giants were smart they'd go with the kid. Eli isn't taking them anywhere this season.

I think that's the point. Let Eli have his swan song and get another top pick next year. That should be the plan anyway.

Ditto, honestly I’m just a hair nervous. I know it’s waaaaaaay to early to judge anyone in pre season, especially when it’s one teams firsts vs anothers 2nds and 3rds, but he has made some pretty stellar throws.

One of his biggest knocks was not being able to throw the deep ball, I think he’s put that to rest. Another was not making all his reads and making poor decisions, that part is still a big question mark, especially when the game speed picks up against the starters in real games. I’m far from sold on him but I was expecting and hoping for worse than what I’ve seen, no matter who he was playing.

There’s been a lot of other QB’s in this draft that were ranked higher and haven’t looked nearly as good against other teams back ups, so so far Jones has the advantage out of the rookie QB’s I’ve seen from this class. Looooong ways to go though, can’t stress enough how little these games mean.

That Lawrence cat on the other hand has done nothing to impress me going on two games now. I thought they would have gone for Sweat and was elated they didn’t but then the dang Skins grabbed him so it was a wash.

I think Baker may turn out to be really good in a year or two but their entire future hinges on Jones.

I believe he was playing with an injury his senior year, his junior year was his best, and that’s what they were hoping he could return to talent wise. Big gamble, literally and figuratively.

I love the Giants GM! Guy seems like an arrogant idiot, just need Jones to suck to be the icing on the cake.
