This game is more fun then watching the Cowboys.........

#2 selection...........whats your flavor?

IMO, you cant take Peterson with the #2 selection. If your dead set against taking a franchise QB you best hope your *** you can trade out of this spot.

This is a good year to have the #1 or #2 pick. This will likely be the first time since 99' that quarterbacks go first and second in the draft. So it's very unlikely that teams won't be able to trade out of these picks. Based on the current draft order, Buffalo will likely take Andrew Luck, which would leave us at #2 (assuming we won a tie breaker with CAR) with the Panthers needing a QB at #3 and the Browns and 49ers not far away

I think we all want to go OL, but if there isn't a big time OT available, I'm cool with addressing the interior O-line in round 2 with either Stephan Wisniewski or Michael Pouncey. With that being said, we should just go BPA in round 1. Wheather it's Patrick Peterson or one of the D-linemen (not sure if any of them have sepertaed themselves yet)

the depth of the last draft is showing how shallow this one is. it looks deep at the QB position right now but we dont need one, so PP may warrent #2. dont reach for a tackle if there isnt a top 5 grade on one. i really dont see a tackle that would have beat out the top three from last years draft right now.

2nd might be just a little high to take Peterson you're right. Realistically Dallas won't finish with the 2nd overall selection, though. More like 4-6. If we do however, then we have to take Luck, as much as I'm against it. (assuming Buffalo doesn't have #1 pick).

Exactly right.

The last thing I wanna see this team do is reach for the top o-linemen out of a subpar group.

If you're at #2 or 3, I wouldn't hesitate in taking Peterson.

We do have a need at CB.

so your willing to pass on Andrew Luck

how many years do you think Romo has left maybe four

you sit the guy for two years

thats JMO

YOU DO NOT DRAFT A QB TOP 5 TO SIT THE BENCH!

so just stop it unless you are talking about trading romo, in that case who is our second top 10-15 pick? and what is a rookie QB gonna do with our oline that romo cant?

well you sit him for couple years - draft some O line this year

set him for a couple years

Thats what the Packers did sat Rodgers but none of you want to do that, and look at Rodgers know

so hows Sam Bradford doing it ???? have they got a great O line

Stafford Lions have a great O line

not a problem since you probably could not come up with that yourself

come talk to to me in three years

I am all for Peterson but if that DLine gets no pressure, not even Peterson or the best ballhawking safety can save this defense.

They have to do something to improve the DLine...

Marcell Dareus, DT, Alabama it the only D line I take at 2

Dareus has been a beast so far this season showing power, athleticism and a great motor. He can play the 3-technique position on the defensive line. Dareus has the ability to dip the shoulder, give a rip move and then penetrate the backfield. He is very powerful on the bull rush as well in getting a push up the field

and why not ?

Pure and simple, he's a beast. Peterson has shown a lot of playmaking ability as a punt returner on special teams as well. One concern with Peterson is he has a bit of an attitude, but I think you can say this about every elite corner in the NFL. Cornerbacks need to have a swagger and an attitude. The corners that dwell on their mistakes and lack short memories aren't very good players

when you can get a lesser player ?

don't under stand that logic

We have a franchise QB for another 5-7 years...

except i did in other threads

what am i talking to you about in three years?

rodgers is in his third year as a starter so he would have to win this year to prove your rodgers point

if bradford/stafford were to win it in the next three years that would support my point that you dont sit a top 5 QB

and in three years it would be lucks first season as a starter so you are saying he would take us to the big game his first year as a starter?

sorry dont see what your point is

Unless we continue to be horrid and get the #1 selection, I do not see how we get Andrew Luck. To me, he is by far the best prospect you can take at #1, and the true franchise QB in this class.

I just wish Matt Barkley was a junior and could come out in this class, that way we could have another shot at a franchise style QB.

In any case, if we stay at #2, we hope that some OT emerges and makes himself worthy of a top 5 selection. Ultimately, that is our biggest need and where the money will be well spent at.

If Luck goes #1, as I suspect, and we are stuck at #2, I would not be completely against taking Locker. I completely believe he is a project that needs grooming, but I think he would be in a fantastic situation where he could get that grooming. Locker is the type of QB who if rushed will be a huge bust, but if given the time and patience to learn and evolve could be an absolutely outstanding QB.

If we take him, keep Romo, and give Locker that time he needs, we could really benefit and likely have no dropoff in trying to find our next QB after Romo.

Granted this isn't my ideal situation, but I just don't see how we get Luck without getting the #1 pick.
