Ladies and Gentleman the Cowboys are coming off a fantastic, gutty divisional game in which they pulled out a victory despite not looking sharpe to put it nicely. It was a key win since this was a very important game even though it is still early in the season. Now it is on to a scrappy bunch led by Hue Jackson who are looking for their first win of the year. So onto the #GPODAWUND or DAWG POUND like there fans meant to spell last week if you missed it check this out:
http://www.12up.com/posts/4031407-browns-fans-hilariously-mess-up-their-dawg-pound-sign DOH!

----------------------------

Let's look at the history between the 2 teams:
Browns lead the all time series 17-13-0
Keep in mind 14 of the Browns wins came in the 1960's for what its worth
Cowboys have won 4 of the last 5 including the last 3

----------------------------

Key Injuries or Key Players Returning:

Browns
Cody Kessler returns for the Browns
Corey Coleman also returns
Jamie Collins trade via Pats

Cowboys
Mo Claiborne key loss for the Boys
Barry Church key loss for the Boys

-----------------------------

The Cowboys Lead this Matchup in Every Category:
Offensive comparison
Yards per game - 409.9 boys - 355.9 browns
Pass yards pg - 245.0 boys - 241.9 browns
Rush Yards pg - 164.9 boys - 114.0 browns
PPG - 26.9 boys - 19.8 browns
3rd % - 43.7 boys - 40.4 browns
TOP - 33:16 boys - 28:33 browns
Sweep Cowboys

Defensive comparison
Yards per game - 348.7 boys - 421.5 browns
Pass ypg - 255.9 boys - 277.8 browns
Rush ypg - 92.9 boys - 143.8 browns
PPG - 18.6 boys - 29.8 browns
3rd % - 44.2 boys - 47.1 browns
Sweep Cowboys

Key Rank Highlights:
Cowboys 1st in rushing --- 4th in yards per game -- 7th in ppg
Browns 10th in rushing --- 15 in yards per game --- 20th in passing yards

Browns are giving up 143.0 yards per game vs the run + they are the 32nd ranked defense
Cowboys are 12th in Defense and are solid against both

---------------------------------------
Interesting Information:
Browns score most of there points in the first half of games and usually fall apart in the 2nd take a look at this:
Week 1 - Browns - Eagles - 7 points 1st half ------- 3 points 2nd half RG3 QB
Week 2 - Browns - Ravens - 20 points 1st half ---- 0 points in the 2nd half - McCown QB
Week 3 - Browns - Dolphins - 13 points 1st half -- 11 in 4th quarter - Kessler QB
Week 4 - Browns - Commanders - 17 points 1st half -- 3 in the 2nd half - Kessler QB
Week 5 - Browns - Patriots - 7 points 1st half ------ 6 points 4th quarter Whitehurst QB
Week 6 - Browns - Titans - 13 points 1st half ------ 13 points 4th quarter Kessler QB
Week 7 - Browns - Bengals - 10 points 1st half --- 7 points 2nd half Hogan QB
Week 8 - Browns - Jets ------ 20 points 1st half --- 8 points 4th quarter McCown QB

So as you can see they start strong but fall apart later and then get some garbage time points.

-----------------------------------------

Looking at the Browns:

They are a balanced team but QB is an issue as you can see they have used 5 Qb's already this year. McCown and Kessler are both being listed to play this week neither QB is a threat to run although McCown averages 1-2 more times per game but both are below 4 rushes per game.

RB is a little different Crowell gets majority of rushes and is not thrown to much - Johnson get a few carries but is a big part of there passing game look here :

C = Crowell ----- J = Johnson
Week 1 - 12 carries for C --- 3 Carries for J --- BUT ---- J had 3 Catches
Week 2 - 18 carries for C --- 3 Carries for J --- BUT --- J had 4 Catches
Week 3 - 15 carries for C --- 10 Carries for J --- BUT --- J had 5 Catches
Week 4 - 16 carries for C --- 8 Carries for J --- BUT ---- J had 6 Catches
Week 5 - 13 carries for C --- 4 Carries for J --- BUT --- J had 2 Catches
Week 6 - 9 carries for C ---- 4 Carries for J --- BUT --- J had 4 Catches
Week 7 - 12 carries for C -- 6 Carries for J ---- BUT --- J had 4 Catches
Week 8 - 11 carries for C -- 4 Carries for J ---- BUT --- J had 6 Catches

So when Johnson is in the game Lee should be shadowing or be aware for the pass.

------------------------------------------

Key Players to watch out for:

Number 1 --- Gary Barnidge TE - Number 94 on top 100 players list --- not many know about him although most will remember the catch vs the Ravens. He is the favorite target of all 5 QB's and a big redzone threat.

Number 2 - Terrell Pryor - This dude is killing it this year and has size, speed and hands, he is still learning the position but could be a problem since MO & Church are out and Carr is short .

Number 3 - Corey Coleman - He returns and is a deep threat who was playing very well until he broke his hand.

-----------------------------------------

My Analysis and Prediction:

Browns Defense doesn't scare me even with the addition Jamie Collins he is not there long enough. What does make me a tad bit nervous is the the Browns Offense - Coleman and Pryor can get deep quick and Pryor's size may cause issues for our smaller DB's. Barnidge is a really good TE no one knows about every QB on the Browns loves throwing him the ball. With MO and Church missing Cowboy Db's are gonna have there hands full. Throw in Duke Johnson catching balls out the backfield somewhere between 4-6 times a game there is a lot to worry about in the passing game. The Browns run game is decent and even though we have down well in that area the Browns balance could cause issues for our secondary.

The Browns typically explode early in games and fall apart in the 2nd half that plays well to the Cowboys play style since we wear teams down and control the ball. In conclusion this game should not be taken lightly since Hue Jackson has this team playing hard & they do not give up. If we run effectively which i really believe they have 0 chance of stopping then we keep there offense on the side line while building our lead. Zeke is gonna go off this week. I would not be shocked if the Browns kept it close in the first half but say bye bye in the 2nd half as we win by 3 scores. They just don't have the QB.

Most would say this is a trap game - i think this team is not only above that, they are different they will not take the browns lightly and they will come out with laser focus. Rust came off last week, the well oiled machine is fixing to send the Dawg Pound home early and upset. they will be ready to send a message this week.

we have some bad matchups with their offense. I am very scared this team comes out flat and gets behind and the offense is not sharp.

Agree completely.this team can actually run unlike the Giants and have deep threats.we have to win the TOP big time to keep the ball away.Mccown can really throw if given time.I see a close game.

They can run but they were tops in the NFL in early October. Now they are 10th. Seeing as how we let Sproles rack up yards, the run D better be on their game against Crowell and Johnson.

Need a hot start to put them into the one dimensional phase offensively.

While the Browns are bad, they still hang around in most of their losses, so they aren't some team that rolls over and dies in the 1st half.

One thing to watch for is Pryor at QB. I really thought he was going to beat the Dolphins single handily.

I just hope this does not end up being a TRAP game for us.

he had a really good game in miami but our offense and Line is gonna beat down there defense if their QB has a couple 3 and outs they will be in trouble

Early they will have opportunities but once the lead is built it will become like the Pats game this team beats the teams they are suppossed to beat

We have to go to the qb in this game. On offense. Yeah we're gonna run all over them

i point that out as well but i don't think they can get our teams offense off the field to put there O on the field not to mention they have QB issues

there qb will be fine. We do not hit quarterbacks.
