Can't quite put my fingers on how I feel about it. It's almost as if so far the draft has controlled us vs the other way around, behind the 8 ball so to speak. Love the Parson pick but Joseph makes me a bit nervous, especially the limelight of being a Cowboy.

But I willing to let it play out........

i like this draft because they see an area of concern which is the entire defense and they are addressing it

will it work out? who knows but the guys they picked are solid guys

I agree. I do not know much about these prospects. Last year the draft fell right for us. This year we just appear off by a a pick or two.

i feel like chasing a cb put us behind the 8 ball and sort of mucked things up. Joseph better be good.

All we heard coming in is that the number of picks would allow us to be aggressive in moving up for the guys we wanted. Instead we have sat still and watched our guys get taken ahead of us. Infuriating

I have come around on the Parsons pick and kind of like Joseph , too ; the rest ? Who knows ??????????????

You misspelled “bad” as “weird”

I think they likely hit a point where so many guys were bunched in their rankings that trading up didn't make sense .... didn't fall in love with anyone and reach because we had others we liked just as much. I'm looking for a 1 tech, OT, and TE in the remaining picks.

Picks didn't really fall the Cowboys way.

No absurd decisions like Taco over Watt or Hill over Thornhill.

I can understood your take its not falling our way but I like the positions were addressing

I think what we're seeing is the GM(s) overrating the roster and drafting backups who can help them manage the cap in three years.

This third round was a huge bomb, when it coulda been so much better

This is a weird year for drafting period. But I like going Defense. This D needs an influx of new players.

Seems like they are picking guys who really fit Quinn's scheme, so it may also be that we aren't used to tracking these kinds of guys.

Here is what I dont understand: Read somewhere yesterday this was not a deep draft based on a poll of league execs. Anicdotal evidence was teams projected UDFA boards had 30% less names on them than usual. Meaning there wasnt as much draftable talent pushing others down. So why would you try and draft 11 players when the day 3 guys are long shots to make the roster. Further the meat of the draft was 20 to 60 so why not try and get as many picks in that range as possible by trading your excess? I guess they didnt poll the Jones family.
