Don't be shocked, should the Flailing Irish of Notre Dame start 0-8 and finish 2-10, if Charlie Weis seeks a convenient escape hatch in January: the New York Giants.

How interesting that Tom Coughlin's tenure with the Giants is ending as Weis, a New Jersey native and former Giants assistant under Bill Parcells, stumbles in his so-called dream job. Rewind to last month, when Weis said he expected to end his career at his alma mater:

maybe now they can pull that book from the shelves about Weis bringing Notre Damn back into a powerful program...it was on the shelves before the end of his first season.

Give ND two more years...

His recruiting class coming in is deep and wait until the 'Truth' is a Junior...
The "Truth" might not make it to his junior year if he keeps getting crushed game-in and game-out. Notre Dame's OL is all kinds of suck.

If they keep on losing... he wont have to "escape"... they will drive him out of town...wherever he wants to go... he will have an escort of 100,000 people LOL

Good luck, will ND even let him out of his contract.
If it keeps going like this they may KICK him out of his job.

Why would the Giants want him if he can't even coach college worth a hoot. I don't think in my lifetime I could ever honestly say Notre Dame sucks, but they do under Chunky Charlie.:D

LOL!LLOLOLOL!

Charlie Weis was gettin beat with Tyrone Willinghams players (at least he recruited some quality guys).

Look at what that clown is doing with his own recruits. Im so glad that fool isn't our coach like so many of you hoped.

Oh, and U Washington aint even half bad this year. Good call Notre Dame aka we don't like black people in power U!

Weis seems to suck without knowing the opposing team's defensive signals. Maybe he should start filming the other sideline.

I was going to say the same thing, why would they want him?

"I got my dream job and completely sucked at it but hey, you guys need a coach and I need a new job so it's a perfect fit right?"

A lot of people here wanted Weis as our HC. Most of the same people DIDN'T want Phillips. Just sayin zall.

how can you say the suck under him? He took them to back to back BCS games. When his team werent even that good from top to bottom. And dont tell me they didnt belong there when Mich & Ohio St got destroyed in their games.

Every ND fan knew this year was coming ( didnt know it would be this bad )

But in Ty's last 2 years he recruited 2 O-lineman. Guess what sucks? yea the O-line! Charlie has 2 top 10 recruiting classes ( So & Freshmen now ) and right now he has the #1 rated class coming in this year so far. If people think ND wont make major improvements next year your crazy.

One other thing. ND fans arent calling for his head. Its the haters & media.

Weis has no senior or junior talent - Ty's last two classes were pathetic and most of them are gone. He is trying to make do with what is left plus TRUE freshmen and sophs (ND does not redshirt except for injury). And he also made some mistakes in trying to be fancy when he should have concentrated on the basics. Which they did do vs MSU and did somewhat better. This year was always going to be pretty hard, though its worse then anyone thought.
