Yeah yeah, I know. Water is wet, sky is blue, Nors was a headcase, etc.

I wanted Wade gone more than just about anyone, but hated the subsequent Garrett hire. Well, after four games I'm sold. I've never seen such a turnaround in a team's demeanor and mentality. He has unlocked this group's potential despite some key injuries an offensive line that only shows up about one out of every three plays. He'd be 4-0 as a HC if not for the stupid t-sip handing New Orleans the game last week. Just a remarkable turnaround. The playcalling is better. The effort is like night and day. The special teams has become very solid. The defense still sucks, but at least they are forcing turnovers by the bunches now.

It's really a damn shame that we couldnt have made the change a couple weeks earlier, because there is a solid chance that we win out at this point.

Yeah, well....water under the bridge, don't cry over spilled milk and every other corny euphemism I can think of. We're on track as a team and organization now. SURE hope Red wants to stay.....still say there will be other teams after him. Don't think he won't listen too. He owes Jerry NOTHING.

I doubt he leaves. If he keeps this up, Jerry will pay him whatever he wants and we will be by far the most talented of the teams he would potentially be coaching next year

Still not sold.

Want to see whats in store next year if he is indeed the coach.

I know one thing. Wade was a terrible coach.

Fixed it for you.

I was wrong about Jason too. I like the way the team has played since he's been moved up and to me it's night and day in the mental makeup of the team.

WHATEVER he's doing it seems to be working. I hope he stays.

I'm not 100% sold yet either, but I'm definitelly leaning towards it.

If he splits the last 4 games, I'm totally on-board.

There are still things we haven't see yet from Garrett as a head coach. His personnel evaluation, personnel decisions, and his eye for talent. We will find out. So far he has did a good job. Good to see he is letting the younger guys get playing time. Something Wade didn't do at all.

Calm down. Leslie Frazier's 2-0. "New coach effect" can work wonders on a short-term basis. Neither Red nor Wade could fix this porous defense, however.

:laugh2:

I lay in bed, still dumbfounded at what the hell happened the last 3.5 years

how that idiot was allowed anywhere near Valley Ranch will forever haunt my dreams

I still have doubts about JG as a OC and his personnel decisions. I still can't figure out why he plays Barber so much over FJ and TC past few years.

Who expected a former QB and offensive coordinator to fix the defense?

At least they are forcing turnovers

I'm very pleased with the way he's turned them around. The defense isn't stopping people all the time, but for the most they're making the right amount of stops, and plays, to win.

They're also forcing turnovers which has been really nice to see.

Lots more to learn about Garrett, to be certain, but I believe he's on the right path to doing great as the HC here.

This was still a game that the Colts lost more than we won (leaping, R Wayne drop, recover the fumble). If you turn the ball over 1 time, force 4, get 17 points off of those turnovers, and run for over 200 yards, you should win convincingly. He's not there yet.

The one thing we are getting better at, is the mistakes and capitalizing on opportunities.

My biggest concern with Garrett, though he is getting more out of the guys, is that the same problems still exist.

Special teams are awful.
Can't get a pass rush.
Won't get 60 minutes of good football.

I'd have to see those things change before I'm 100% sold.

Give props to JG, am beginning to feel him as HC, but would be great to have a great DC and OC next year backing up JG. I didn't get the game on TV, but I did see his post-game speech to the team and was impressed. He does inspire the players to look into themselves and be better. The kind of thing that made Jimmy connect with the young Cowboy teams he used to lead.

Leave it to Jerry, to be wrong again......."nothing good happens when you change your coach at midseason". Go figure. The guy just can't get out of his own way. I just hope JJ gives Garrett the power to discipline bad/underachieving football players.

I have the same mindset. Yet I figured the "new coach effect" would start wearing off by now. But it did not. The Boys looked good. The defense at least got turnovers even though they still aren't doing much.

Red deserves kudos for sure. Still need to see more, but this game has me leaning more to his side.

I give pasqualoni (sp) the credit for that. However, the defense still gives up too much and I hope we get a top quality DC going forward after this year.

I mean, historically speaking, the "new coach effect" has been negative, meaning that teams get worse after a mid-season change. That was a specific trend cited by Jerry when he said he didn't want to fire Wade.

Leslie Frazier also beat the Commanders and, today, the Bills at home. Not exactly the equivalent of the NYFG and Colts on the road and, almost, the defending Superbowl champs at home. And the Lions.

Also, there's no reason to believe Frasier's not going to be a good coach, too. I think he'll get the MIN job and end up doing well there.

Agreed. I'm sold on Garrett but not on Paul P.
