According to today's (Tuesday) Miami Herald, the Dolphins expect word today on whether the 3 assistant Dallas Cowboy coaches (whose contracts with the Cowboys expire today) will accept the Dolphins offers.

I was under the impression these 3 coaches would tell Jerry of their decisions on Monday before he (and others?) were scheduled to leave for the Senior Bowl to check out potential players of interest. Frankly I'm not sure how much interest Jerry has in keeping any of them cause it entirely possible Wade might have other ideas. Wonder if there any chance Wade might still want OLB coach Pagano from the Chargers and could he get him anyway?

Three Cowboys defensive assistant coaches are expected to follow new Dolphins coach Tony Sparano to Miami and rejoin former Dallas coach Bill Parcells, the new head of football operations.
Cowboys assistants Todd Bowles (secondary), Paul Pasqualoni (linebackers) and Kacy Rodgers (defensive line) didn't sign contract extensions, so they become free agents today. They didn't make the trip to the Senior Bowl workouts with the Cowboys' staff and owner Jerry Jones.
According to a source, the Dolphins have offered positions to Bowles as assistant head coach, Pasqualoni as defensive coordinator and Rodgers as defensive line coach.
Cowboys coach Wade Phillips will begin looking for replacements while in Mobile. Phillips said the remainder of the staff will return next season, including special-teams coach Bruce Read, whose coverage units struggled.
Phillips wanted all three assistants back, but the network he has developed over 31 years could make it easier to find replacements. He and Jones had worked on contingency plans for replacements before the team's season ended.
Last week, the Cowboys dodged losing a big piece of the offensive coaching staff when Jones re-signed offensive coordinator Jason Garrett.

Neither of them improved at all as the season went along, I dont think he will be too difficult to replace.

As long as Wade has been a defensive guru in the league, I have no doubt he will be able to find guys to replace all 3 of them.

Bowles would have looked a lot better this year with Henry and Newman healthy...

Not to sound ignorant, but are these guys available? I know Dom used to coach here in North Carolina, he was a good Def coach.

Both have. It's Capers bread and butter, although he uses a lot of Zone Blitz schemes out of it. He and Wade together would be kind of scary (in a good for us way). I hope Jason Garrett, who coached with Dom in Miami, says a good word or two about him. In truth, that one is a long shot. Dom is a DC, not a DL coach.

Pagano coached with Wade at San Diego. Wade wanted him last year and because it was lat ein the process San Diego declined. They might change their minds this year.

Capers wouldn't take that job would he? I would figure he'd want to be a DC. I can't see him and Wade cooexisting.

What DC jobs are available though? I suppose Atlanta's is, but he might not want that.

Im glad to see Bowles is leaving and the defensive line coach. GREAT!

I would like to see Deion Sanders come in and coach our secondary. (Wishful Thinking)

It would be good if Jerry Jones would take this in good consideration.

I'd be all for it, hell I wanted Capers when we went to the 3-4.... I just don't know that Wade would be willing to bring someone with that kind of reputation .... That would be the other foot in the grave almost.

I (Wade) already have the guy who will replace me on staff as the OC and now I bring his DC in who has almost as many skins on the wall as I do?

Am I making any sense?
