The Browns might actually get a decent qb
and ruin him

anyone else concerned Linehan had no idea who Wentz was before Senior Bowl?
No. He is here to coach the offense, not scout players. He will get to know him in the next few weeks.
but my dog knew who guy was 2 months ago.
So... scott Lineman didn't know who Wentz even was? Am I reading that correctly? Wow.

A lot of people still have Goff to the Browns so let's hope it stays that way.

possible.Wentz still needs a year or two no matter what anyone says and I am not sure Hue Jackson can wait that long.
I still don't get this argument. The Browns are not a QB away from the Superbowl. They could select Luck and that team is going to need a couple seasons at least to amass the right talent. There is no reason to expect they need or covet someone who can start right away,or even next season.

While I don't disagree with that, I suspect the thought process in Cleveland is different.
If I'm a Browns fan, why would I want to watch Luke McCowan play QB while my franchise guy is sitting on the sidelines? My team has sucked for decades. I need HOPE. And I won't have any hope watching a 37 year old retread run the offense.
For the long term, sitting their rookie QB is the way to go. But the pressure to play him will be very high coming from a fanbase that has seen nothing but failure for generations.
I don't understand your response to his. He said the QBs need time to mature as a QB before he is ready for prime time at the NFL level. (meaning actually ready to start) What does that have to do with the Browns being ready for a Super Bowl? The Browns *need* a starting QB now. It seems none of the QBs in the draft are NFL ready now.
I would be a pretty tough sell for Hue Jackson to stand up at the front of a press conference in Cleveland and tell them that he is going to sit his prized rookie QB because the rest of his team stinks. It may be true, but he can't admit it.
