The fact that the national media is already comparing the two speaks in volumes in favor of Dak. We're comparing a second overall pick versus a fourth rounder. They put their own foot in their mouth every time they choose Wentz when this debate is brought up.

Colin Coward said he has to go with Wentz only because he was pretty much taken before. He said a lot of front office people passed up on Dak and that worries him. I guess there goes my opinion on thinking Brady was a Hall of Famer, Collin.

They are both playing good.

Both will have great careers.

Dak might start rising a little slower, because he is being handicapped by Romo. We will insert Romo once he jumps up and says "I m good boss"

We still think Romo is the answer. Dude had how many chances? He's just wasting time, Dez's youth, and the chemistry between Dak n Dez/the whole offense.

Same thing with Williams, we don't know when to say enough is enough.

Other teams would have been pulled the plug on a guy like T-WILL. Not us....ride till the wheels fall off

Chemistry with Dez for 1 game. Not much chemistry yet with TWill and Butler. Not exactly the whole offense.

Not sure if you're serious here and you've just never seen Romo play, or if you're serious here, and you have seen Romo play and just lack any rational basis for evaluating quarterbacks.

You must have noticed that nobody can even mention Dak without some of the usual suspects coming in and trying to turn it into a 'Romo must go' thread. This thread had nothing to do with Romo at all, but it took exactly 1 reply before it turned sour.

I dont follow the Ops logic at all. Sounds like another of the 30 daily Dak appreciation threads in disguise.

Nobody wanted Romo at all, he went undrafted. Brady went in the 6th, so virtually nobody wanted him. I think Montana even hung around until the 3rd round. So I'm not sure what point Cowherd is trying to make there.

As for Wentz vs Dak, I'm just glad that there is a conversation there. Wentz and Goff were the 'sure thing' QBs, and yet now the talk is Wentz and Dak. So he went from afterthought to being compared to the Andrew Luck type of guys. And from what I've seen he's very close to Wentz, which is a testament to his work ethic and preparation (and Wentz's as well) because this is a whole new game for these young QBs. Countless people can't make the jump at all, including first round draft picks in virtually every draft. So for Dak to come in and look like he belongs already, when he was supposed to be a long term project, puts him on an entirely different learning curve than 99.99% of NFL QBs. Yeah, he has skills that still need developing, but considering how much he's grown already - including looking noticeably better finding targets in game 2 vs 1 - there is no reason to think he won't develop into a top notch QB in time. And probably a lot quicker than most other guys who have done so.

Dak may end up better just because he has Romo to learn from. In due time Dak will learn how to be a pro in the pre snap and the redzone

Either you got it or you don't. Learning from someone is a myth that fans and media foolishly believe in. If Dak has a good/great career, Romo will have nothing to do with it. And I say that if he were 'learning' from Brady.

You got it or you don't.

I"m just going to keep on keepin' on. We've got two good (one great) QBs where I thought before training camp started we had one aging great one. That makes me a happy camper. Doesn't mean I"m going to tolerate a revival of the old nonsense regarding Tony Romo's ability to play QB in the NFL, though. :)

He was spectating a failed Mo Claiborne play, or injury, wasn't it?? Became an awesome meme for a little while.

ETA -- a Mo Claiborne injury is not awesome, just the Broaddus meme

Dak gets to learn from Romo.

Wentz gets to learn from face plants.

My money is on Dak.

I am stunned erod thinks a Cowboy will end up being better than an Eagle.;)

I was way wrong on Prescott. Kid looks legit. But Wentz is a total stud too. To do what he's doing given little to no prep work in preseason, even against suspect defenses, is impressive.

People better start getting used to having to face a potentially elite QB twice a year for the next 8-10 years.

I figure they are comparing them because they are both rookie QBs starting for their teams. No reason to compare Wentz to Goff because he isn't starting. No reason to compare Prescott to Lynch because he isn't starting.
