I am stunned erod thinks a Cowboy will end up being better than an Eagle.

I was way wrong on Prescott. Kid looks legit. But Wentz is a total stud too. To do what he's doing given little to no prep work in preseason, even against suspect defenses, is impressive.

People better start getting used to having to face a potentially elite QB twice a year for the next 8-10 years.

Big Ben was gushing over him earlier, expressing shock that the Browns passed him up.

The entire league is on this dude's jock. Rightfully so. Dude was dropping 30 yd buckets on minimal preseason games and practice. He's the real deal, mang

Dak gets to learn from Romo.

Wentz gets to learn from face plants.

My money is on Dak.

Is Romo that's good of a "mentor" since Dak is potentially taking his job.

Dak and Wentz both will develop because they have the desire to be the best and aided by their QB coaches and support of teamates.

We really won't know who will be better probably 3 years down the road. Maybe another QB from this draft class will surprise us like Brady or Romo. You just don't know this early. Dak and Wentz can both be like Kapernick or RG III....one year wonders.

Both appear to be on their way to very good careers. I was high on Wentz coming into the draft and believed the Cowboys would have selected him at #4 if not for the sheagles swooping in. Dak caught me by surprise, a pleasant one at that. Of course, now I am on Dak's side. But really bummed that Wentz wound up with one of our hated division rivals. Both will be compared to each other being rookie QBs and division opponents---facing each other twice a year.

Hopefully Garrett does not hold back Dak as the season progresses. He seems to pick things up quickly and looks like he will be able to handle the entire playbook soon. Pederson seems to be a major plus for Wentz.

Either you got it or you don't. Learning from someone is a myth that fans and media foolishly believe in. If Dak has a good/great career, Romo will have nothing to do with it. And I say that if he were 'learning' from Brady.

You got it or you don't.
If we didn't have JG's vanilla offense I would agree. Romo makes this O look formidable in terms of passing efficiency via adjustments in the huddle and pre snap: TDs/3rd down plays down the field, etc. If we had a real coach to groom him I would agree 100%. I know Romo is a warrior and wouldn't mind to try him out if really healthy; but if Dak is say 7-2, it would be hard to pull a rookie who turned in that record on his first go round and think Romo wouldn't "really" mind retiring if he was being loyal to JJ and Dak's progress would allow him to save him from himself and his family long term.

Whatever comes of this trumped-up competition between those two should be interesting. I'm just tickled pink that we were so fortunate in getting a terrific talent from a late fourth round pick. They both seem headed for great careers. Whatever happens, I expect to be content, come what may.

Troy learned from face planting a lot of it. Wenzt looks slightly better so far. Time will tell who shapes up to be better.

Wentz could be in a bit of trouble this week vs Pittsburgh.
lol He may lose that rookie race between he and Dak on who has the first pass picked off.

But so far, so good for both players.
Honestly, the jury is still out on their long term success. But nobody can deny that they look good after two real games a rookies.
I like their odds.

The thing that matters the most is how you perform under the harshest of times and the harshest of Lights. When the chips are on the table, who comes through. Look at Andrew Luck for example.

I do believe Dak has ice water in his veins. I believe we will see this in the future

If he had ice water in his veins he would be dead. What you're saying can't be true medically.

Not sure if you're serious here and you've just never seen Romo play, or if you're serious here, and you have seen Romo play and just lack any rational basis for evaluating quarterbacks.

Romo played good for us, yes top 5 at one point.

Superbowl window? Sorry B, that ***** closed a long time ago. Now he will just be playing for pride. I can guarantee you, good record or not, when he returns, he will not lead us to a championship.

Not even next year, wish I was wrong, but I'm not.

Dak won't either, but he can build on something until year 2 or 3.

Even I want to just roll with Prescott. Not because I think he's better. I just don't believe Romo is capable of staying on the field.

Maybe we can bring him in as a drive closer. We get to the red zone then bring in a QB capable of throwing a TD pass.

I suspect there might be some monkey business going on in this thread.

You were gushing over Dak in those preseason GDT's in only the way Risen can. I saw it, we all did!

You want to believe :)

Your cynicism is completely understandable, but I know you have that Dak Fathead in your closet!

So Wentz is able to throw 2 yard outs all game, and this makes him great.? Give me a break.

Can't wait til he plays an average Defense.

What. Tony has been terrible in the redzone. Garrett doesn't help.
