Wentz vs Prescott showdown

Rewatch the game, and the drops. My grandmother could have made those catches. Quarterbacks don't complete 100% of their passes, but if they can muster above 60% they are that wins games in the NFL.

There were drops, there were also a bunch of missed passes (like the one to Tavon Austin when he was wide open and would have gone for a TD). if you are going to mention one don't forget to mention the other too!

Wrong.

Trying to catch Dak passes is truly like herding cats . Receivers have no idea where it's going, how much velocity it will have, or how wobbly the spiral will be.

He's throwing wild change-ups and knuckleballs out there.

Teams have zero fear of Dak. They don't have to gameplay for him. They don't respect his game. He's easy to defend.

He's a weak link.

Yea those 6 catches hit them in the hand where so hard to catch.

Get out of here with that b.s. you stole form Philly Twitter fan page.

Dak was the worst quarterback in the NFL yesterday. He was worse than horrible.

He missed pass after pass. The receivers don't like playing with him anymore.

True there were some drops (3-4 legitimate drops), but having to dig some of those out of the dirt aren't considered drops and what about all the overthrows or the passes thrown into coverage that shouldn't have been thrown. Its over

Prescott threw a pass behind, overthrew a couple and under threw a couple. The WRs/TEs dropped easy catches as well. The culprit was abandoning the run game when Elliott was gashing them. Complete BS.
That all being said, Wentz wasn't all that much better.

The problem with the sheep is that they love mediocrity, they think it's okay to pay an average QB $35+ million... You're exactly the kind of fan Jerry LOVES.
I wish fans would at least wait until Prescott got paid more than his rookie salary before they cried about getting 35+

I live in the philly market. My sources of eagles fans are most of my friends, my family, my coworkers. Not just WIP.

Wentz didn’t have these dynamic stretch the field WRs in years past either. He wasn’t playing well even when he had Agholar, Jefferies, ect.
Son of a gun me to. All my friends are Eagles fans, and most of my family. I live in the Philadelphia market, and use to listen to WIP years ago. Wentz had Torry Smith his best year, last year when he came back early from a rebuilt knee, and then broken back didn't have a speed receiver that's why it was a priority this year with Jackson.. Jefferies, and Agholar have regressed, and I don't think Jefferies was ever healthy this year. Having a go to receiver, or at least an NFL receiver makes a big difference for a quarterback and you'd be hard-pressed to find a QB that's played as well as Wentz with what he's had.

I didn't grow up a Eagles fan, but I did follow Wentz in college, and was a big fan. He's done more with less, and if he was on my Dallas team we would not be 7 & 8.

You always have a few fans that complain about their starting quarterback on every team. A lot of times I chalk it up to fans just pretending to be a fan of the team, but in actuality root for the competitors team.

Well Wentz won that battle last night. Dak was horrible, so many balls too high, too low or behind the receivers. And you can tell the receivers are becoming frustrated.

I'm not talking about the low throws. I'm just sticking with the ones that bounced off the core area, or off the hands.

My point is it wasn't just Prescott the entire team failed miserably. They packed it in and quit. The Eagles wanted it more than we did and it was obvious on the field.

I don't totally disagree with you. I don't think the difference in Wentz of 3 years ago and now is just a journeyman WR like Torrey Smith.
I think Wentz has great arm talent. What I don't see is a QB who has the right mental makeup to be elite. I see a guy who always looks to be in panic mode playing. He gives the impression that the game is too fast or he just doesnt let it come to him. I see him throwing 100 mph fastballs on 5 yard passes and then everyone blaming the WR for dropping a few. I will defer to my eagles friends and family and when I ask them if they think Wentz is the answer every single one of them says "I don't know". These are the people that have season tickets, the people who don't miss a snap. These are people that would stick up for McNabb. They are not sold on Wentz.

If Eagles fans are still questioning him then who am I as a cowboys fan to defend him.

I see a system where Alex Smith led the NFL in passer rating. Where Reid had Donovan McNabb playing at all pro level. Where Foles became the superbowl MVP.
Reid, Peterson system changes on the fly. They adjust in ways we don't. When judging any QB playing in that system I have to look at how other QB's have also looked in this system and I don't see Wentz as superior to many of them.
