Wade is just rewarding Colombo for his hard work to get back into football shape. Free will see a lot of time tonight.
If that's true I don't like that. However the coaches are at practice and see things I don't, so I will defer to them.

We've argued for and against this all week on here, but some of you don't think that people on the actual team may not all all be in agreement?

Some of you love to attack werder.

Agreed...Werder is a porn turd and has deserved to bashed for other things. However I don't see why this is so outrageous considering the number of threads and posts on this board and people think it is not an issue among coaches or others on the team.

This is a non-story unless it's Houck that wants Free to start. Then we have news and a stupid move by Wade Phillips.

As long as that's the OL coach's call and Wade supports it, who cares what anyone else with the cowboys thinks?

Well played.

Disagreement among Cowboys over right tackle spot

Posted by Michael David Smith on January 9, 2010 11:32 AM ET
Ed Werder of ESPN is reporting that with just nine hours to go before the Dallas Cowboys' playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles, there's "disagreement within the organization" about a roster move that coach Wade Phillips has made.

Phillips has decided that Marc Colombo, who is finally healthy after missing seven games with a broken leg, will start at right tackle. Doug Free has started the last seven games in Colombo's absence, but he'll open tonight's game on the bench.

Werder reports that some Cowboys insiders believe that Free has out-performed Colombo at right tackle and deserves to keep the starting spot, and that there's concern that the Cowboys' offensive line could struggle with the Eagles' blitzing.

Werder also reports that running back Marion Barber and linebacker DeMarcus Ware are both ready to go. Both are listed as probable.

that's not a keyboard in his hands, it's a huge stick cause all he does is stir up crap. i wish people would let the drama queen go and quit bringing his stirred up poo in here.

:laugh2: at some of you.

Werder was either close to right about TO last year, or close to it. Else TO would be suiting up tonight.

I called him a genius? Reporting what someone else tells you hardly takes genius.

And that there's disagreement over this is as obvious as your wet rain. Free has played - the last 3 weeks - better than Columbo did prior to injury. He especially played well against Philly. You're the one questioning someone's integrity, even though what he's reporting is extremely likely. Just like last season.

I'm pretty sure you were reading the board regularly last season, when legions of people here were claiming that he (TO) wasn't causing dissension, or that it was overblown. It was a delusion most of them lived under right up until 44-6. Given your judgment in this case, I'd guess you went right along with them.

i've seen werder stir up enough crap to know that's all he's doing. it's a "new breed of reporting" that i hate. if no news is there, make it there.

were you reading the board last year? i wanted TO's arse gone and his ME ME ME attitude with him.

so sherlock, do more work before telling me how i feel.

This is the first thing I thought of.

He's wanting to stir **** up within the Cowboys fanbase and he knows that this subject is about the only controversy there is right now.

Transparent.

I know its not the same, but it reminds me of the Doug Flutie incident in Buffalo.
