Werder - High probability, Depending on the next HC, Jason Witten will be included in the staff

This senile, incompetent moron still doesn’t understand that the HC picks his staff. Has he not learned over the years how dysfunctional and disruptive doing it the other way around is? It’s maddening being a fan of this team

When was the last time a head coach was hired here and they were not forced to hire someone they didn't want to be on their staff?
Jerry has to have a mole on the staff to confer with him before and lest the players start holding the head coach in higher regard than Jerry. No one knows more about football than Jerry Jones. As in no one. Jerry Jones is the greatest football mind that ever lived.

It's no big deal....every HCs inherents staff, up to them to manager his staff...yes, this is not exactly the say, but it still shouldn't be an issue. Most coaches would welcome a Witten with open arms. Just another way to bash Jerry....he deserves most of it, I don't think this should be a reason to do it. As a fan, I would love to have Witten on board, especially, if they hire an older and experienced HC.

So another Wade and Garrett situation.

Jerry will never allow another HC to pick his entire staff again....even though it's how everyone else does it. The reason why? A humiliating moments came when he felt snubbed by Johnson and current and former staff at a dinner. It's all out there. Before they made amends, Jerry was asked about putting Jimmy in the RoH and Jerry lost his composure some. He said: "I lost my tolerance for having an associate, a friend, not be loyal."

So basically, he wants coaches and staff completely loyal to HIM and not any HC, so he does the hiring and doesn't allow the HC to do his job properly. This all stems from emotional damage between him and Jimmy...still...despite their making up years later.

As a TE coach I have no problem with Witten...anything more than that is absurd
Whether he is a great or not, doesn't matter, problem is a head coach should be able to decide on his own staff. As soon as you start dictating to him, who, what, when, where, you just show everyone who is really in charge and there goes all accountability with it. Thanks Jerruh!

I don't mind Witten being part of the coaching staff, but it's gotta be TE coach first. Maybe he has an additional role like assistant passing game coordinator, etc. Coaching in high school isn't really that impressive and it would seem crazy to hand him a lead coordinator role at this point.

I mean we have had old players come back to coach before and that hasn't been an issue....although none of them were ever called a snitch either
Did they have the relationship Witten had? I don't ever recall Leon Lett hanging out in Jerry's suite. But Witten, Garett, Emmit....way too close to Jerry. And the NEVER call him on his BS like Troy did and does!

I would love it if every head coaching candidate turns down the job and the Cowboys simply can't fill the position.

First player I was ever forced to like that came from Tennessee. Ended up being one of my favorite players. That being said TE coach is the only position he should get.

Count DWare as a Witten supporter........

Cowboys Legend DeMarcus Ware Thinks Star Ex-Teammate Would Be Great Next Coach for Dallas

His choice hasn't coached in the NFL before but put up huge numbers as a player.

I see his posts in instagram all the time and he hates the state of the team. Why would this be ok? Do they pump so messed up gas into the Star to make people dumber
