Officially, Chiefs cornerback Dunta Robinson islisted as questionable on the injury report due to a personal absence. Unofficially, Robinson won’t play against the Cowboys.

PFT has confirmed, via a league source, that Robinson will not be available for the Week Two game against Dallas.

Ed Werder of ESPN, who reported that Robinson islikely to miss the game, says that Robinson’s cousin was struck by a car. Robinson’s cousin remains unconscious and in an intensive care unit.

Brandon Flowers and Sean Smith are the starters, but Robinson covers the man in the slot. Without him, someone else will have to step up and cover Miles Austin.

The other cornerbacks on the roster are Marcus Cooper and Ron Parker.

Former 1st rd pick of the Texans. Left them in Free Agency to go to the Falcons. Not sure, but I believe he was released in a cost-cutting move.

He's a bit small as a corner, but I think he made his name as a cover guy in the mold of Antoine Winfield. Haven't really followed him since he left the Texans, so I don't know what his role is with KC, tho the article says he's more of a slot guy now.

My mother was hit by a car Wednesday, so I absolutely feel for Dunta.

Always liked him with the Texans. He may be missed as a player, but his absence and the reason for it, will be a rallying cry for the Chiefs defense. I don't expect a drop-off.

Sorry to hear about your mother. I hope she is, or will be, OK.
