We're Beating the Saints

I like that this is a game that we can impose our will and win the game.

We our a much more physical team than the Saints. We can pound them.

But my question is what type of effort are we going to get and are the guys going to have no confidence when they play.

Dallas wins this game and suddenly everything changes.

I think after watching Jerry looked extremely pissed off at the outcome of last week's game, he ripped the team a new one, as well as the coaches and assistants.

The Cowboys come out like a bunch of crazed dogs! Cowboys win... on my birthday nonetheless.

I am completely on board. If the defense comes to play and Tony Romo continues his play.

28-21 Dallas.

Anything can happen in the NFL. Anything. That is why they play the game.

The people that don't think they can win, should just go rent a dvd, instead of watch the game. I mean, why bother?

Just because a fan thinks the other team is going to win does not mean he should not watch the game or hope for a win.

I will be watching and rooting like crazy for the Boyz (just like I have done since 1989, not missing a single game), but I do not think we will win. I base this on the fact that the Saints are undefeated at home and are averaging 38 pts per home game. Thus, in order for us to win we will have to score 40+ points and I simply cannot remember the last time Dallas played a team with a winning record on the road in December and scored over 40 points.

Therefore I do not think we can win this game. It doesnt make me any less of a fan, it just means that I expect a loss.

Interesting......

Hope Slate is right...

That is all......

Cool, mine is the 20th. Maybe the Cowboys can get you a good b-day present!

Understandable, but some of these guys are well beyond that. :laugh1:

I think they'll win, honestly. The Saints won't go undefeated and this is the game.

That's great and all, but how many points were the Chargers averaging per game? How many did they score against Dallas?

Do you know this or just speculation?

Sean Peyton and Gregg Williams vs Wade Phillips and Jason Garrett. I think talent wise the teams are close, but I can't see Phillips and Garrett out coaching Peyton and Williams.

What was so disapointing was Wade in his press conference yesterday trying to give out his rallying cry but just sounded so defeated when he was doing it.

He really screws the perception of this team. Someone needs to show him a video of himself.

When he walked into the locker room at halftime he just looked like a defeated man.

You just can't do that as a coach. You can't be the leader and just sound so defeated.

I disagree Steve. It's crazy, I've been an avid OS supporter for 7 years now and I never knew you were a Cowboys fan.

Anyways, that Dome will be so loud Romo is bound to make a couple of mistakes. Besides, we own the Cowboys.

I know the Saints like to blitz their DB's too and that is something that has hurt us all year.

I agree....guy sounded pathetic yesterday. There is no question that his sideline demeanour does count for something and when your coach looks like he is given up it's only human nature for that to translate to his players.

Well the Saints are not some sort of impregnable Helm's Deep. Look at what the Commanders did to them.

Talk about snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. I have never seen a meltdown quite like that before, at least in recent memory. It is like God came down from Heaven and said, "Nope I don't think so. Those are my Saints."

Sometimes teams just have that X factor. That is whats scary about the Saints. Destiny.

If this team takes down an undefeated Saints team, this forum will be blowing its collective load and you know it.

Tru Tru...talking about SuperBowl bound...

Just looking at the numbers I dont expect a close game though...

If the Saints score easily early, the run will be abandoned and the cowboys will lose. Best running back by committee in the L, but refuse to stick with it...Slow down the game and pound the ball the Boys have a chance...but we know that wont happen...step off the homer podium and recognize....

There is no way the d holds the Saints. Brees had a day where he looked horrific in the pocket, and he threw up 400+ against the skins...leagues 4th ranked passing d,(think they were top 2 at that point). With Dware hurt, no I didn't cheer when he got hurt, and the 21st ranked passing d, I expect da Brees to throw up another 400 yard day with 4 tds...

This might sound crazy but I am not that interested in beating the saints THIS WEEK.
Call me a fool but we still need to do our calculations. There is a chance, no matter how slim it is, we meet them again in playoffs.
So, I'd count on the last two games (skins and eagles) to get to 10-6
which for me I think it will get us in (facing the eagles again maybe)

Saturday's game we should sit Ware down, maybe sit some other starters downs, and let the team experience the atmosphere and the opponent.

Of course I'd go in to try to win but I'd let my players use it as a study while they are playing

Someone still smarting from an early-season ***-kicking?

FightingIrishman brings the LotR references. No, they're no Helms Deep. More like the Village of Bree, I'd say! Ride right through that gate and molest all their hobbits. Cut their beards, blunt their knives and bend their forks! Cut their cloth and tread on the fat!

Since we're on the topic, how many Nazgul would it take to kill a Balrog? I'm thinking FOUR.

The Saints passing attack will obliterate the Dallas defense. Romo will throw a costly pick or two in an effort to keep pace and the Cowboys will lose big. Dallas is done for '09. The offseason begins Sunday morning.
