I have a feeling Run DMC will be hurt and Dunbar gets traded. I think I read Dunbar's cap number was pretty high somewhere. That leaves Randle, RW and Seastrunk. Whats the deal with Lache? He has great speed for sure. What about his blocking ability? Why has he bounced around so much?

Cap Hits
Dunbar 1.5M
Randle 632K
McFadden 1.1M
Ryan Williams 705K

That's not bad at all. I want to see what all these guys can do but I would feel better if we had Chris johnson for insurance and he would be cheap to. I love how they all are fast but I want one big one.

Despite not having a job, I'm not sure that Chris Johnson will sign for cheap. When you've made tens of millions, what's the point of playing for 750K?

The Cowboys worked out Johnson a couple of months ago and were not interested in signing him.

I didn't know they worked him out. We'll then we go 4 deep at speed and kill defenses lol. If teams thought murray was bad wait until Randle and McFadden break past the line. There will be some 50-60 yard TD runs this year.

If those four guys can amass 1800 yards in some combination for what amounts to be what - $7M less than Murray? Net win.

I'll take the under (unless we actually get a speed guy in space where they break off some 60-70 yarders) but would love to be proven wrong. Even if it's only 1600 and change it's was worth not paying Murray all that money. We aren't going to abandon the run.

The glorification of Murray is nothing short of amazing. He's a can't miss donut all back now. As he was setting the mark as the leading rusher I don't remember this media craze about him.

I'm not bitter when I say this. I've said it all along. I don't think he has a great season at all. His career has been very much up and down and I think that continues.

I totally agree with you. This is not just a dis on Murray but he's running behind a different offense, behind a different (less effective) OLine and his QB (whoever that may be) has to be very successful to open up the holes like Murray had last year. Phili also gets cute with misdirection and Murray does not have the consistent cut back ability for that type of running. I also think Murray needs to get warmed with consistent running plays and if he's subbing with Matthews and Sproles a lot, he may never find a tempo. Lot's of if's and but's to overcome for him and the Phili offense. Lastly I think Murray really jelled with the team last year and it was certainly mutual. If he has a couple of big fumbles and poor performances, the crowd and team may quickly turn on him.
I like Murray and like his heart for the game but I think this year will be different for him in a lot of ways.

Besides not knowing what his asset situation looks like...it's conceivable at least that he needs the cash. Or he could just value playing on the most famous team in America and behind it's best run blocking line...on a team that is seen as a Superbowl contender...
