Don't confuse "healthy" with athletic lol, the obese states would destroy the healthy states in a pickup football game lol

If you go back only a hundred years or so and told the people that our modern world would have so much food (at least in USA) that there would be an epidemic of obese people they would not believe you. It's an embarrassment of riches but in the wrong way.

It's increasingly being accepted that the BMI approach used for the most part to categorize an individual's weight is antiquated as it does not take into account body style, weight from muscle vs fat, etc. I do agree this nation is trending towards being overweight/obese at a scary rate but I suspect the percentages of the analysis in the original post are skewed. According to this approach, I'm borderline overweight/obese and if you saw me in person, you would think the opposite.

Weight Watchers makes a fortune off this....

I'm definitely fat. I need to stop being lazy and fix it, yet again. But, yeah, I've been lazy.

lol, that chart says 135lbs is a health weight for someone 5'11. In 2000, I was 5'11 155lbs (almost zero body fat) and you could almost slip me under a door. I mean I was rail thin. There is no way 135lbs for someone 5'11 is health. That's 20lbs less than I was at the time. That has to be someone completely malnourished.

Currently I'm 5'11 203lbs. (as of this morning) It also says I'm borderline obese. (it actually goes up to 210lbs for my height before being obese) I'm definitely not ripped with 1% body fat, but I'm definitely not obese either. I still pick up all the hot chicks. :)

Yea, BMI is bull in that regard.

I'm 5'11" 285-290 but only have like 18% body fat.

I'm 6' and 190 so that chart says I'm overweight. I don't think anyone that knows me would consider me overweight. My "ideal" weight was what I weighed in HS and I was doing everything I could to gain weight then. I played football and I was muscular (for the weight) so I don't know how the chart says I would have 23% body fat. If I did I sure didn't feel like it.

From 2003 till around late 2013 I sat fluctuated between 187-193lbs and I was in no way shape or form fat. (heck, I was playing hockey in 2003 which will suck the fat right off your bones!) I didn't have a six pack, but I damn sure wasn't fat. I'm +10lbs now and I can definitely tell the difference. It's 10lbs I don't need. I would say 193lb is my proper weight. That stupid chart says I was overweight hah.

That chart is carrying many extra pounds of extra bogusity.

I didn't weigh in their normal range after a two week long bout of dysentery.

I'm 6'0" and 155 right now, and I wouldn't describe myself as rail thin. Now in college, when I was 6'0" and 125, that was rail thin.
