I thought these types of thread would go away.

It's time to just take things week by week.

At least the "Cowboys will win by 30" threads have gone away.

Let's take this thing week by week and see how we and the other teams in the NFC perform.

It would be foolish to think the Cowboys can't make the Playoffs.

However, we aren't a very good football team and even with Tony Romo in the lineup, we still have some major issues.

Teams we'll have to fight for the wildcard


1. Washington (still get to play them 1 more time, and they still need to be pittsburgh tomorrow)
2. Carolina/Tampa Bay (one of these teams wins their division)
Arizona 5-3
Chicago 5-3 (have titans next week, just barely beating teams)
Philadelphia 5-3 (has new york next week)
Atlanta 5-3

The 5-3 teams aren't really in better position than us. I think the slot is between us and Carolina. I see us as being better than Washington down the stretch. These other 5-3 teams will eat each other up.

Its really up to romo and this defense...

its still well within reach. And if we dont go, we really didnt deserve to anyways.

We have to win at least 5 of the nex 7 games. And I dont see that as impossible if the team can play like it should.

Add romo, felix, maybe pacman, newman, kosier...

I'm just as hopeful as the next person but I have always been a realist. If we do make the playoffs we're looking at oine & done again. I sense a trend developing.

romo puts up 90-100 qb rating, and our current crop of qbs put up 20-50... obviously there is gonna be a change when he returns.

The defense will be better, they HAVE been better. 21 points came on turnovers this game with good field position. Theyve been playing on the balls of their feet for the last 3 games...

I'm with you I still think this team makes the playoffs. Now if we lose to the Deadskins I will start to get nervous. I think we will be 8-4 and win our next 3 games. Then we're right in the thick of things.
