DL has to be 2 of the first 3 picks. But I also believe in BPA. That might mean an OT in the 1st round (who am I kidding, Jerry would never do this).

I personally feel like any player they take will be a great addition to this team. EVERY position. Well except kicker and punter of course but they can take BPA at any spot and I wouldn't complain. I guess you've kind of put yourself in a hole with that Escobar pick. You have no choice bu to stay away from tight end. But Tight end is the only spot you can ignore.

How depressing, we're not even into the New Year and all we have to look forward to is the draft. Sigh!

Need help in several spots DL, LB, Safety, OG. Just hope Jerry doesn't do something stupid.

Why aré bears picking ahead of us at 8-8? Strength of schedule? They did beat us.

Strength of schedule. The teams they played had a combined 118 wins. The teams we played had a combined 123. The Ravens also had a combined 123, so we'll pick either 16 or 17 depending on a coin flip.

Tie-breakers for picks doesn't work the same way. Here is the procedure:
1. Strength of schedule for all teams with same record.
2. After that, if teams still tied are in same division, it goes by division record.
3. If the teams still tied are in same conference, it goes by conference record.
4. If teams still tied are in different conferences, it's a coin flip.

Take romos retirement papers and sign me up for some jonny football.

Sorry, but after Tony announced his retirement and all of his guaranteed $55 million accelerated into our salary cap, there is no money left to sign johnny football...............we also had to release almost every veteran as well.

Yep. I'd like to see that. Mack and Leary have been serviceable but an OL that just beats on people would be wonderful. Also hope a legit FB lands in our lap on day 3. Murray seemed to come on later in the year when we added a semi-competent FB. Other than that, best defensive player available.

That approach hasn't exactly worked out that well for Washington.

they didnt trade the farm for the correct QB.

If they had selected Andrew Luck...it woulda worked out.

Teddy is like luck...already can run his own offense.

If I had to start Bortles right away then I would be skeptical on pulling the trigger. Given that he would sit for a few years behind Tony I would have no issues bringing him to Dallas. He plays football a lot like Roethlesburger did coming out of college.

As a KY resident and former UK student that knows many UofL fans, I watched Bridgewater quite a bit. The man is good. Very very good. Makes good throws has mobility but doesnt rely on it. All around a good qb. If we could pull off a miracle trade and get him, I'd be all for it.

Why would we? We have Romo.

Hey I like the guy, but that's an awful big risk. Just don't like the idea of putting all your eggs in one basket like that.

im not saying it isnt a big risk...but worse risks have been taken. like taking RG3...or oakland trading a 1st for carson palmer...or anyone who gave matt flynn a contract...etc.

Right smack dab in the middle of no man's land where our idiotic but wheeling and dealing general manager can rationalize trading.

Well, I'm all for doing what's best for theorem, and if packaging picks to go up and get someone is what's best, then do it. Gotta believe that if Houston is as high on Bridgewater as you are, they won't be looking to trade anyway.

We have no cap space and a ton of holes on the roster. Packaging picks and creating a short draft class probably isn't a good idea.

BPA can only take you so far - what if Jenkins (TE from Washington) is the best player available in the middle of the first round?

Good news is that this is another solid year for the defensive line. We simply couldn't create pressure this year and when you're playing guys you're signing off the street, you obviously have no depth. We've done a good job building the offensive trenches, now it's time to look to the other side.
