Well, I'm all for doing what's best for theorem, and if packaging picks to go up and get someone is what's best, then do it. Gotta believe that if Houston is as high on Bridgewater as you are, they won't be looking to trade anyway.

now that i might can agree with....though i just dont see them picking a qb, but hey...maybe

We have no cap space and a ton of holes on the roster. Packaging picks and creating a short draft class probably isn't a good idea.

There are ways around this. Our major players are all aged...witten, ware, tony...its time to start replacing them.

get tony to do a sign and trade with a big paycut...and send him to a contender to recover some of the picks you use to trade up with bridgewater.

is it likely? nah...but definitely doable/possible.

i just HATE the thought of teddy playing somewhere else.

I personally feel like any player they take will be a great addition to this team. EVERY position. Well except kicker and punter of course but they can take BPA at any spot and I wouldn't complain. I guess you've kind of put yourself in a hole with that Escobar pick. You have no choice bu to stay away from tight end. But Tight end is the only spot you can ignore.

you would think that 3 drafts and 3 off seasons later, under the guidance of the great Jason Garrett, we wouldnt have that many holes

strange.....

No shortage of holes, so it shouldn't be hard to grab BPA. But there will be hate if the BPA is a Tight End.

not looking to move up with Jerry making the deal ala Mo Clay I like the trade backs better

i agree...but if youre gonna move up...dont do it for a brain dead like Mo...at least do it for the smart choice like Teddy.

Why would we? We have Romo.

I'm not going to be a Romo basher, but that light burning at the end of the tunnel that represents the time he has left as a top level players is almost out of fuel with some of these injuries.

Middle of the first round is a great place to pick up a DT/LB with this year's group.

I'd be fine with having Selvie and Ware work the edges, but need someone to push the pocket. Tuitt is ideal though Jerrigan from FSU would also be great.

You can't really do a sign and trade in the NFL. All bonus money that has been prorated will hit the cap when the player is traded. There is no method to redo a contract to avoid this problem.

The only way to do something similar to a sign-and-trade would be for a bad team with plenty of cap space to trade a veteran and get a better pick because they take the hit for the bonus money.
