For some reason i don't think you were talking about the 1st year Tony Romo....you are talking about the 4th year Tony Romo....Hell we might as well through in Proctor and McQuistan....Those guys looked good in preseason and Parcells "gushed" about them.....:bang2: You want to know why...Because they aren't good enough...and if it wasn't for an injury to our best receiver over the last couple of years you wouldn't see Hurd either....and that is a good thing....unless you like seeing our guys go down....it is like regardless of injury...some people just want to "see what these guys have".....aren't we trying to win games?

Letting a first year WR get a few snaps in the offense half-way through the season is slightly different than starting an undrafted FA QB in his rookie season. I guess you didn't notice that difference when you tried to make the comparison.

Lions only have 1 respectable reciever but the Jags have 3 recievers all with amazing talent.

Matt Jones owns every young reciever you have. 6'5, 230 pounds with straight up 4.3 speed. Reggie Williams is finally becoming the player he was in college. The dude catches everything thrown his way and doesn't care how hard he gets hit. Ernest Wilford is an amazing route runner.

Hurd or Austin don't come close to Jones, Williams and Wilford. Especially Jones, who's blessed with one of the most sick genetics in NFL right now.

Yeah, which is good, because he draws as much double teaming as Owens does, and bad, because even with the long pre-game workout and pain shot last Sunday, he was still down mobility-wise.

I wish Bill were making the decision, not Terry...Parcells knows exactly what the trade offs are re the match-ups. TG will just continue reaggravating an injury, imo, and if he's only at 70 or 80 percent, I'd prefer to see the kid play.

Yeah, Hurd looked pretty good in preseason. Also Parcells is gushing over Austin. Last time someone I wanted to see get on the field that (1) looked good in preseason and (2) had Parcells gushing about him turned out to be the future QB of this franchise.
