lol... ok... think what you want. I guess since you think it was you, it must be. I did actually have a couple of people in mind, but as I say, they haven't posted in this thread.

If you didn't want to address that to me, perhaps you should not have closed out your response post to me in the way you did. (#89 I think)

With Jimmy's plan, we could all see it working, little by little, improving, getting better, our record improving, winning in the playoffs. We could see it happening.

The improvement this season has come out of nowhere, and that is not my opinion.

Garrett had a different job to do, WV, than Jimmy had to do. Jimmy had a 3-13 team, that he blew up to a 1-15 team. The progress is going to be more noticeable, and the way the NFL was constructed then (no salary cap and the SLEW of draft picks they received) made it easier in some ways. Garrett has rebuilt the roster, kept us competitive, and now we are turning the corner. We have never had a losing season in these 4 years. I think his best job was last year, getting 8-8 out of a team with one of the worst defenses in NFL history ( a lot of that due to injury).

And once again I am glad to say, I did not have you in mind. I was making a joke out of the word "processed." The haters get processed, the Giants got processed and the Commanders are about to be processed. I don't agree with you on this issue, but I sure don't see you as a "hater." I do see you as being selective in what you want to see.... but that's ok by me.

...k Look, I respect you as a fellow long-time fan HF. Really do, mean that sincerely. And I have been as frustrated as you over that last 20 years. I think we have a shot here at some long term winning. Really do. And long term turnarounds (i.e., rebuilding rosters) don't happen in short order.

Btw, quick side note. Have you ever read the book that Cliff Harris and Charlie Waters wrote together? Just one short story after another (alternating fashion) about their time playing. I loved it. Easy, entertaining, read.

That's the one. I thought it was great. The short snippets make it a perfect book to pick up when you have 5 minutes at a time. Those years 77-79 were fantastic. I was in attendance at the 77 NFC Championship game against the Vikings. I'll never forget it. It was COLD.
