Les Bowen, of the Philadelphia Daily News, reports Philadelphia Eagles RB Brian Westbrook (knee) might need arthroscopic surgery on his knee if rest does not resolve his recurring problems. Westbrook would miss two to six weeks if he had the surgery, but he would then be fine and not have to worry about how his knee is on a week-to-week basis. The team has recently acknowledged Westbrook has a bone bruise, which usually means there is damage to the articular cartilage. Westbrook's agent, Fletcher Smith, said he and the team have not yet discusses Westbrook's options.

Anyone familiar with this injury? In your opinion is this something you risk playing on?

wow, that would suck for me. He has produced so well for me so far in fantasy(except for last night, in which he lost me my game this week:mad: ).

But hey, he wont help when they actually play good opponents anyways

Is it something you can play on and avoid the surgery?

it would be better to get the surgury and avoid the constent pain and sitting out practices and taking the chance of doing further damage to the knee, but yes he could.

The guy is a headache to defend, but hes always getting injured.

The Eagles would be wise to draft Micheal Bush next year if he comes out

Brian Westbroke will always be hurt! he never has and never will play a full season. Sure he is a bonofide weapon but what good is a rolls royce with no gas in it! I will never wish bad on any human being but considering the cheers of Micheal Irvins spinal cord injury, the bounty on Troy and our kicker, the snowballs thrown at Jimmy, and even the wishing of T.O. had actually succeeded in supposely suicide attempt...well let's just say that I wish he actually would play so we can make sure he rest that knee for the remainder of the season. It seems funny how Westbroke *****ed and moan about his contract last season and the main reason the hesitated was because he couldnt stay healthy. McCrabb stood up for him ( but not T.O.) and now his bonus and salary will be dead money on their cap next season. So come on Brain Westbroke stick it out and play so we can take you out of your misery!!

Naw, don't want anything like that... we're not Iggles fans in here...

OTOH, if Roy gave him a LITTLE concussion, just enough to make him miss the rest of the game...

They can't make excuses about Westbrook being injured and missing time, it happens every year. If they haven't figured out by now that this is just the way things are gonna go with him then they are either fooling themselves or are blind in one eye and can't see out the other.

You shouldn't wish for anybody to get hurt. You sound like some Eagle fans. Westbrook is a good player and when we beat the Eagles I dont want any excuses of why they loss.
