Spencer doesn't seem to be in the best of shape, he needs to take his off season more serious.

Probably due to the fact that he's been injured so frequently.

There's only one way to get in football shape... and the offseason has a minimal impact on it. He'll look out of shape until he's practicing and playing for 3-6 weeks. Just depends.

I wish morons would bother to check Newmans record before being stupid enough to call him injury prone. He did not miss a game for 4 years. Then he injure his foot last year and a groin due to slipping on a wet field this year and now he is injury prone. I wish ignorance was terminal.

And if these "odd" events continue to happen for the next 2 to 3 years? Would you eat crow?

They have legitimate concerns. He was injured last year until late in the season, and it appears this season will be the same. He's over the "30" year old mark, which is typically when most athletes start getting injured more frequently.

I don't know why you would call anyone a moron, and "stupid" because they've made a semi-decent observation. The last 2 years, this guy has had trouble staying on the field. And his "2 week" injury has turned out to be much more serious than a 2 week injury. Granted, that's not his fault - it adds fuel to the fire.

I take it your mother never told you "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything"

I really hope Spencer gets it together and can stay healthy. He's actually showed flashes of great potential unlike Carpenter, and if he can stay healthy he can be just what this defense needs down the road.

I agree to some extent but when you lable someone as injury prone people tend to take that as a career long thing. People generally don't get an injury prone tag after a season and a half so I imagine that's why most people laugh at these people who are acting like the world is ending.

And in regards to that quote about saying something nice I'm sure no one told some of the people around here, who make really outrageous claims or stupid observations the following...

"Better to be silent and thought to be stupid rather than open your mouth and remove all doubt."

wow, talk about people blowing crap way out of proportion and/or exaggerating.

Spencer didnt miss a game last yr (his only yr in the league before this one)...Newman didnt miss a game his first 4 years in the league and only missed the first 3 games of last yr...now these guys are somehow injury prone?
