WFAA Blog: Leonard and Tank cramp up/Joe Berger took his place (NOTES)

Austin beating Newman probably has more to do with Romo than with Austin. We've seen Romo just chew defenses up with perfect placement and touch. Do that enough in practice, and Newman is going to be beat every now and then. And when it occurs, it's probably attributable to Romo, not Austin.

But I'm hoping Austin is good. We could use it. But just remember that Romo can make most anyone look good.

anyone else tired of the media turning to Crayton for a statement on everything?

They're not.

He actually chases them down just to have someone listen to him.

Miles Austin, one of the young receivers coach Wade Phillips has been praising at mini-camp just beat top corner back Terence Newman for a touchdown in team drills.

Tony Romo led Austin perfectly across the end zone. Newman waved his arms in disgust.

Wheres the smug "guess who was beaten" or "you know who got beat" lines at?

Suppose it doesn't apply to all players in the secondary.

On a positive note, Good to see Austin keep on developing. Hopefully there is some footage of this player later on.

And as far as starting Adam instead of Henry, why not? Let Henry take a few plays off in the game in then move him out there when Newman goes into the slot. Im sure he would get plenty of reps if they do plan on moving him inside and it will probably prolong his health.

Yeah, but I'm just glad he caught it.

Romo can put it right in his hands, but he can't make him catch it.

yep! Ha. Its a shame he doesnt have catch a question taped to a football, we'd only hear his mouth half the time.

Publicly demanding a trade yesterday contradicts that just a bit.

roll your eyes if you will, I have said a lot of crap I didn't mean when I was angry and first chance he got he took it all back. Or did you miss that part?

nothing indicates terry wants to play anywhere else, and for damned sure he doesn't want to go to a team destined to suck it up for what is likely his last year in the nfl

I just pointed out what actually happened.

I posted earlier today about a possibility Glenn & Parcells have been talking. While Glenn is allowed to talk to anyone he wants, Parcells is not allowed to talk to any NFL whose under contract with another team. If it turns out we can get proof that they talking about possibility of Glenn going to Miami (even if Glenn elects remain with the Cowboys), we've got Parcells for tampering & will get one of their 09 draft picks. Don't recall what pick SF had to give the Bears when they found guilty of talking to Briggs.

Dream on Sago. BP is way too sharp to get caught like that.
