I pretty much think mock drafts are silly exercises in futility, but what consensus “Top 10” prospect do you see sliding?

I’m going with RaShawn Slater. I think he’s a solid prospect that’s likely destined for the inside at OG. I could see him sliding and being taken somewhere between 12-20.

I think you’re right. I think teams that view Slater as an OG won’t be as apt to pull the trigger on him as high.

what about devonta smith?

considering his low weigh in. And the presence of Waddle, Pitts and Chase.

could Devonta slide down to the 17ish range like Ceedee did last year? It’s looking like he could very well be the 4th “pass catcher” off the board. Do 4 go before 15?

or will there be a run on a few defensive players starting in the 10’s? Like Parsons, the corners, Ojulari, Phillips, Barmore, etc?

I think the giants and eagles are both prime targets for Devonta. But waddle and/or chase may be around for them to pick and I could also see either team going after other players as well.

One of the WR’s Smith or Waddle. Only because of their size. Smith is better than Waddle IMO. Maybe someone takes Parsons or Surtain early.....always surprises.

Smith is a good call. I think Waddle and Chase go before him, though I would only wager money on Chase going Top 10.

Good post especially about mock drafts, fans are are crazy to get mad about some draft that will be at least 60 percent wrong. As to slider, if Atlanta doesn't take Pitts at 4, then I won't be surprised to see him fall to 10. Why, forget what all the analyst and media say because if they were correct then Lawrence would probably be the only QB taken in the top 10 but we know that's not going to happen. Look at the other teams past Atlanta, Cincy isn't going to take Pitts with Chase or Sewell on the board, neither is Miami. Great chance Detroit trades out for a team needing a QB but even if they didn't OT and WR are far more crucible to success than a TE no matter how good he is.

A TE isn't going to see the ball most likely more than 4 to 6 times in a game even if their names are Kelce or Kittle. Sure they see it sometimes more and are match up problems but unless you have at least a good set of WR and a good RB and a good OL, it is not going to make a great difference. If Carolina doesn't protect Darnold then no way we see any improvement with him than with the Jets. Plus Carolina is another good trade down candidate for any team wanting a QB or CB or WR. Denver is much like Dallas needing a CB but no way they pass on a QB either or trade down with a team like Giants, Eagles, Chargers who need OL or WR. Still Atlanta is the key as I see them either taking a QB or trading down and lastly taking Pitts.

Well Tutu Atwell just weighed in at a staggering Screech Powers like 149lbs....
Talk about literally falling through a crack...
Your DC doesn't have to be a genius to figure it probably isn't a running play when Tutu is on the field.

Under Garrett the answer would be “we don’t let the opponent’s personnel dictate what we’re going to do on defense; we play our game.”

I don't think very many people believe JOK to be a top 10 pick. Just my opinion
Probably true so I threw the caveat in there. Most people probably consider Slater a top 10 player and NFL has him at 11.
