IMO, unlikely.
I expect new coach means you spend a year evaluating what you've got instead of making a big splash in free agency.
I disagree.
The biggest priority the Cowboys placed on their search was hiring an experienced head coach. That means that they don't have the patience to try to develop one like they did with Garrett. It also means that they feel that the team they've assembled is capable of winning now. And if that's the case, I expect that they would be aggressive in adding to what they already have rather than taking steps backward and then trying to keep everything together for a few more years.
They have two huge contracts to take care of in Prescott and Cooper, but then they still have a huge amount of cap space remaining with which to aggressively add players. And I expect them to do so, and a more aggressive approach to free agency than we've seen recently.
