A year later has shown how much each of the teams in the NFCE has changed.

The Cowboys have a defense and a reliable QB.
The Giants have been consistant and make plays when they need them.
The Commanders have a reborn Brunell and are actually winning.
The Eagles have fallen from grace yet are still clearly in the mix.

This has been one of the best seasons for a fan of an NFCE team in a while.

Whatever happened to the stay on topic icon..........My sermons about Carter..isn't that who were talking about..........but if you want to move on to your dog in this race........Henson I'd be much obliged (speaking of fluff) .........infact it ties right in with the title of this thread.....I agree "What a difference a year makes"...........then again we want to stay on topic don't we :)

Actually am not the one twisting..........

You claimed why wouldn't listen to Carter interview after I preached his name until he got cut............In reply.......because it was a bunch of fluff.

Of course you went on to bring up the infamous annointing signature pictures (Henson). Keep up Hos maybe the noise from your Hog is affecting you train of thought. You interjected with something OFF TOPIC I didn't.

It appears you're acting alongside Helen Hunt in this flick and I am just :ralph: horrified.

Atleast you know that those signatures were just a bunch of fluff, because we all know their are only 3 QBs that have done anything worth mentioning between the lines since 8-ball retired. :)

why???..........

It's a No win situation for Carter.

Nothing he says will change the fact that he played well enough to be the starting QB on 2003 play-off team and that he was dumb enough to smoke away another chance to prove he can be a realible QB in the NFL.

Until he does again what he did in 2003 and follows it up with another season in which he produces on a successful team he's just another guy who blew it.......

I hate to break it to you but Quincy is done in the NFL. He will never take another snap. Mark it down...

How would you know without listening?

Oh wait, I always forget your omniscience.

Because you said you ALWAYS restrict your "sermons" to what happens on the field.

No way, no shape, no how.

You're just like the rest of us, we talk about all aspects of the game and what goes on around it.

It appears you're acting alongside Helen Hunt in this flick and I am just :ralph: horrified.

It gets funnier.

I'm the one that kept telling you it was just a cool picture. You're the one who made a huge freaking deal about it. Why do you think it amuses me so much?

Just like his short career Carter and this topic needs to be put to rest. We are not talking about the 2nd coming of Roger Staubach we are talking about a guy who threw more ints than TD's and was nothing more than backup talent at best. He played on a playoff team no QB is leading his team to the playoffs with the sorry numbers he posted for us.

It is a bunch of fluff. It is not news worthy. What exactly can Carter say that would change his situation or his perception here in Dallas?.........Umm I am sorry....It was all my fault........I couldn't hit WRs in stride. I was at a strip club with Matt Lehr the night before the Arizona game.........I don't have sound mechanics like Henson :lmao:

Simple common sense Hos. Nothing he said at this point is news worthy or will affect the Cowboys ability to win or lose in Philly on Monday Night. Do you get it now..........ITS .......A ........BUNCH.......OF........FLUFF.

Yes I did, when talking about Carter and his development. What else were we talking about. If am posting in a topic it's logical to assume my post are geared towards that topic or in reference to reply.........a little common sense goes long way bro. Don't try and pawn my repsonse off on some other stuff like Henson signature lines (good example of fluff .....before proving).

By the way am not like the rest of US........I wouldn't waste my time on 10 pager about nothing.....Now if Carter knew the Eagles playbook :holmes:

It does.........I actually heard Hunt and Paxon had signed up to do a sequel, but you know how that went.

You and I both know that almost everything we debated was inter-related and continuous. Surely you remember dropping little jabs in posts to others that were directed right at me. "See my sig line."

The funny thing is you think I'd forget this stuff. I never forget comedy.

By the way am not like the rest of US........I wouldn't waste my time on 10 pager about nothing.....Now if Carter knew the Eagles playbook :holmes:
Ooh, a pedastal. Is it a nice view?

Certainly isn't possible that others could enjoy a spirited discussion. That's impossible. I noticed you've never pointed out the 10 page threads on any other subject. Coinsidence?

Hmmm....

I find it hilarious that after all your defense of him, that what he has to say is inconsequential now. I'm not shocked mind you, just amused.

You also told me Henson had perfect mechanics by looking a cool picture............

Let's be square here. I've never said anyone has perfect mechancis. In fact the closest I ever came to that much praise of mechanics was given to Vinny in a side by side against Henson that I ripped apart.

I mean, I know you like to try and assign my thoughts to me, but it never has worked. Today won't change anything. You're welcome to keep trying. Lord knows I enjoy the laughter.

Sorry bro your right. You didn't say perfect.....http://cowboyszone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1084&page=3&pp=15&highlight=Hensons+mechanics

You said he had textbook mechanics in that one picture of Henson that LTN posted after a DallasCowboys mini-camp in 2004. It was even compared to 8-balls..........assesment striking similarities :lmao:

Anyway..........we all know Parcells took that text book and threw out the window or maybe Quincy needed the paper to wrap his herbs and stole it on his way out..........

You get the last word...........Or better yet props on your boy Lousaka Polite. Very smart guy, took advantage of the reps in camp and never looked back.

Heath Miller @ the TE position is getting OROY blurbs left and right. :lmao:

Charles - I was with you on Heath Miller - if he had slipped to our second rounder I would have been on him like sand on a desert.

I think Miller has done a great job but I would keep the players we got in this draft over Miller. With Witten and Campbell on the team Dallas was able to address some bigger needs than TE

Hos on QB's - some funny stuff going down in the desert preseason!
I'll give him props - he put it all out there on Henson!

Howdy folks. You guys will never know how much I missed the site the last 2 days as I went to the game.

Pictures coming later when I download them to a site.

Okay, let's start with the thing everyone always wants to talk about, quarterbacks.

MichaelWinicki and LaTunaNostra, I would just like to say until the two of you pointed it out I had no idea how obvous it is that Drew Bledsoe pats the football a lot before he throws it. He took 2 sacks yesterday and fumbled on one of them. Luckily we got it back. I acknowledge that he has a canon for an arm. There is no doubt about that at all. However, last night he looked awful. He was pushing the ball instead of throwing it. He had more time than either of the other 2 QBs and looked the worst of the 3 in some regards.

Okay, on to Tony Romo. He had a better completion % than Drew and moved the team, but I'm going to be honest, he lollypops every throw. There was almost no zip on any pass. I have tried to be supportive of him but I'm going to be honest, he will never be starter material. It just flat out will not happen. When standing next to the 2 Drews he is noticably shorter. The most glaring difference though is the velocity of the football. Quite frankly he had none last night. To his credit he made very smart throws. He was locked onto Witten (more about him later) and as a result he moved the team.

Okay, now is where you guys get to call me a Henson Apologist or whatever you want. With less time than either of the first 2 guys he was noticably better than they were in every aspect of the game. He took a sack late on the last drive that he had no chance to avoid. If not for that he played well enough to have done exactly what Parcells asked for, that was to come in late and win the game. Those who were worried about this kid can stop. He has some serious tools. He played better with less than either of the other two guys and yes, I will acknowledge he played against a lesser defense than they did. At least acknowledge this when bringing that up, Antrel Rolle and Lance Mitchell are going to be starters for the Cardinals this year at some point. He wasn't going against scrubs, these guys were good.
