The people who criticize the BCS are morons.

There is no perfect system. No system is better than another. The tournament bracket system is flawed as well.
Funny, 99.9% of the other sports use playoff systems, and they seem to work pretty well. They may not be "perfect," but they're sure as hell better than this joke of a system.
Here, I've got a perfect system. Go down to your local grocery store and buy a bag of oranges. Take the oranges and write down your best 16 teams in Sharpie. Take said oranges to the local zoo and throw em into the monkey cages. The first two oranges the monkeys pick up go to the championship game.
That would be as successful as the BCS. Probably more interesting too.
It allows teams to take games off just to get into the tournament.
Ridiculous. Are you saying if the winner of the Big 12 Champ game yesterday would get a berth in the playoff, and the loser would be done, that someone would be taking that game off?
Did Ohio State take the game against Illinois "off?" Did Georgia, or Oklahoma, or LSU take all those games they lost off?
If the Cowboys have HFA clinched in week 17 and sit some of their starters, are you going to cry about them taking games off? Or are you going to be grateful that the game doesn't matter and we can use the game to keep some key guys healthy?
I like the current college. No, I don't think it's fair but it is more fun to watch and that's what counts.
You don't think it's fair? Then what the hell are you supporting it for? And what is more fun to watch? The Bowl games are a massive let down every year.
Every game is a playoff game in the current college system.
This statement is the biggest piece of propaganda ever. If every game were a playoff game, then there would be only one team left standing right now. Hawaii. They're unbeaten, they should be at the top of the list. What's that, there is a team with 1 loss getting in and another with 2? Yeah, every game is a playoff......
If a tournament system was allowed, then teams could give up games. In the current system, every game counts. Look at the NCAA Mens basketball regular season....no one watches it! It means nothing. With college football, every games means something.
Yeah all those regular season games in sports with playoffs mean nothing. That game Thursday night between the Boys and Pack meant nothing.
I hear announcers saying USC is currently the best team in December. They lament the fact they won't play in the BCS. But USC should have beaten Stanford. What's their excuse for that. I want a team like USC to be penalized for losing to a team like Stanford. A tournament system would forgive USC for losing to Stanford. In the current system, every regular season game means something. And if the regular season matters, the season is more fun to watch.
USC had a lot of injuries earlier in the season. They're healthy now. If you have a playoff, you allow for teams to overcome injuries. As it is now, one bad injury can end your season. Is that what you want? A battle of attrition?
What a worthless post.
