We didn’t burn it down after losses to Denver and Vegas, why Wash.
Because they’re a division rival, they’re on a hot streak, and we’re not, and things are starting to get tighter. We need to find our groove. We need to beat an inferior team.

People can try to convince themselves that this isn’t a HUGE game if they choose to do so, but they would be mistaken. Yes, if we lose we’ll still be in first place in the East, but the team’s already shaky confidence would suffer a huge blow especially after getting so many key players back. Let’s face it, Washington isn’t a good team. We should handle them. If we don’t, this team is done as far as making any playoff noise. It’s that simple.

It would mean the team is a contender for a playoff spot representing a crappy division, but a pretender for the Super Bowl.

A loss to Washington (which I don't think will happen this week) would mean
  1. Dallas would still have 100% full control of their destiny.....as they had before the game
  2. a 1 game lead with 4 games left
  3. another game---at home--with Washington in 2 weeks
It would mean kissing the playoff bye goodbye and acquiescing to the #4 seed of doom in the NFC which no team wants.

Until next week
and then until the next week
and then.....

I recall 2014
Dallas and Philly locked in at 9-3
but Philly was seemingly with momentum as Dallas had dropped a couple.
"Huge game" coming up between the teams....surely if Philly won they would take control and Dallas would be in their "typical" tailspin

Philly proceeded to crush Dallas and the dagger was set....OH NO... the season is over! even with 4 games left
All the momentum with Philly and Dallas crumbling

What happened next?
  • Dallas won the next 4 games and set a Cowboy record for scoring in that 4-0 December....running away with the division and home field for Rd 1.

If you think Jerry's firing him with three years left on his contract........I don't what to tell you other than it's not happening. Not to mention his brief tenure isn't that bad.

LOL his brief tenure “isn’t that bad”……

How’s that brief tenure gonna look if the Cowboys blow a 3.5 game lead in the division halfway through the season?

Here is what it means, Dallas craters loses 4 of the next 5 games and just misses the playoffs like usual.

Full compliment of what ? Dak still isn’t right and won’t run with the ball, Pollard has torn fascia in foot, Zeke has been a shell with his knee injury. Our defensive Super Star was subject of discussion earlier in the week as to whether he would play Sunday. They felt so good about running back situation they signed an additional rb this week. Cooper is still dealing with effects of his decision making prowess. And we still have LVE starting for us…lol.
I didn’t realize you were on the injury report committee. Full compliment means they are all available and possibly even Pollard who will be a game time decision.

So you need a committee to tell you what the rest of us know from believing our eyes and reading the
reports ? FYI, ask your committee if it’s ok for you to believe the report yesterday that Pollard is out...lol.
Does the committee think Zeke and Dak have injuries that have affected their play. Another FYI, being available means bupkus if they’re ineffective.
