What a win will do for the team

That Philly game next week is not "winnable" in the sense that it's a toss up game. We are already are a 6 point dog. Philly stops the run and we have shown zero ability to run the ball if Dak isn't somewhat effective.
Winning that game would be a major upset.

There defense isn’t all that. We will have to see the impact Cooper can have on the whole WR corps. I do think all teams are going to stack the box until Dak can beat single coverage CONSISTENTLY. He was doing good in the deadskins game but made a fatal mistake on the goal line. He had Elliot that released on that play and the closest defender was about 7 yards away. He had Gallup but not enough time to throw it.

This whole stretch depends on our O-Line getting back to form. We made a step in the right direction over the bye week.

What scares me is our coaching staff and schemes more so than any team left on our schedule.

Exactly. The playcalling and HC scares me. Linehan called a good game when we put up 40. But seems to have quit using as much misdirection. Why he always leaves what is working is beyond me.

Nothing is historic about our team anymore. If we can keep the game out of JGs hands we will be ok. This stretch will tell us a lot. Don’t expect Cooper to be a huge individual factor in this game. But he could be a impact on the other WR getting in the game. Beez could be on fire tonight. Or Gallup.

I agree but would also say Cooper play has to make an impact if you expect defense to scheme Dallas differently. Right now I don't see any team backing off the line and not focusing on Zeke until Cooper and the other WR, along with Dak forces them to change.

Elliot played in the December 2017 game last year and went for 103. Was suspended for the earlier game.

About 100 yards in October 2016.

That’s what I am hoping for. If Linehan uses him correctly. Lol. Like that will happen. I do see him running a jet sweep.

Got to be a good game for our O-Line. Give Dak some time. They will be stacking the box to sell out to the run. That’s where Cooper can help. Force them to double him.

I agree but when you get 8 to 9 defenders in the box focused on the run with 5 OL blocking it is damn hard to run consistently. Dallas has to back defense off that line and if they don't then you got to make them pay via the pass. Defense know they don't have to stop Zeke cold, they just need to contain him and keep Dallas in 3rd and long situations.

This to me is a must win game. Actually the next 2 are must wins.
But if we lose and drop to 3-5. We will be tied with 3 teams. and there will be 8 teams in front of us in the NFC. One being GB at 3-4-1, Atlanta, Philly, Seattle at 4-4

A win gets us to 4-4. Tied with 3 teams, but Seattle has already beat us.
However that puts us 1 game back from the Vikings for that 2nd WC spot, as it does the other 2 teams.
But more importantly, 1 game behind Washington.

Next week, we must beat the Eagles, and Washington goes to TB, with a beat up OL.
Seattle at Rams.

These next 2 weeks are big. We must win both games.
But can they do it. I need to see how they play tonight. Crisp and precise or sloppy and unprepared.
But I will take an ugly win.

I refuse to even think about postseason hopes until this team is 6-4 headed into Thanksgiving. I've seen Lucy move the football too many times, and this team has been up and down the last 2 seasons.

That is why I say we must win these next 2 games. To show us and give us something to believe that we can win.
even though many will still not believe it, no matter what. Can't say that I blame them though.

To me a win does nothing. A loss effectively ends their season. You could say a win keeps them alive but that’s it. But they’ve got to sweep the gimme games (TEN, IND, TB, NYG) and then go 3-2 in the tough ones (PHIx2, ATL, WAS, NO). That gets them to 10-6. And they need 10 wins since I project that WAS and PHI will both be at 8 wins going into week 17 so one of them gets to 9 and either will have the tiebreaker over Dallas. Philly will be 5-1 in the division vs Dallas’ 4-2. Or WAS will match DAL division record of 4-2 but be 7-5 in the conference vs DAL 6-6.
