What about adding Suh

You don't think he has been taking responsibility for his actions? There is a reason why he wants back into the NFL. If you believe Irving is the only athlete to spark up, you'd be amazed to find out the truth. I bet more than half of all players throughout the league spark up, hence why the league suddenly decided to alleviate any suspensions for smoking marijuana.
That's an irrelevant point. The other players IN THE LEAGUE who smoke DIDN'T WALK OUT ON THEIR TEAMS!

Second, why does he want back into the NFL? Uh, BECAUSE HE CAN NOW SMOKE MARIJUANA sans punishment.
What other evidence do we have other than the reason he left in the first place?

Hung over? You've clearly never smoked a joint. The only effects of weed occur while a person is high. I'm sure the team has rules in place about not being high during meetings, practices, or games, (just as they would with alcohol) and even if they don't I know plenty of people (my brother for example) who function just as well while stoned.

Hey guys!! I think you are forgetting that Weed is still illegal in Texas. I don't know how the NFL reconciles supporting players breaking the law in states where weed is illegal. At the same time the NFL is selling "the man of the year" player. It seems like a mixed message to me.

So you would rather not have him and his talent? Is that what you're saying?

I think the decision was between Suh or McCoy. Not both. It appears Dallas preferred McCoy. I don’t think two early 30 year olds is the best way to build your interior defense. Especially guys who have earned big money and had a lot of success. Hopefully they can find a younger guy similar to Collins who can be a rotation guy and outperform his $

Do you know how many talented players there are who don't reach their potential? What good is his talent if he's half-hearted and wants to smoke pot instead of putting in the necessary work to be great?

I don't think the NFL is saying it supports players breaking the law. Rather, it is saying it's not testing for it. Even though pot may not be legal in Texas, it is in other states. The best the NFL can do is have a uniform policy that recognizes that some states allow pot smoking, some don't, but we're not getting into that issue any longer.

Is it going to kill you to wait and see?

Bottom line is Suh's best day are behind him.

If I am going to spend that kind of money, I want an impact player not a big name player.

It's not killing me at all. But, as Maya Angelou says, "When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time."
No doubt Irving is immensely talented. But KC gave up on him, and so did the Cowboys. Or maybe it was he who gave up on them. Shrug.
But I'll wait.

That is an interesting point. the NFL is not testing. What happens if a player is arrested for weed in Dallas? Will the NFL suspend them for breaking the law?

This would fall under the Personal Conduct Policy not the drug policy.

I would rather give Irving another shot at his cost then Suh. The Cowboys would be stupid to not bring back Irving.
